Unimpressed, despite cash discount. The pad Thai was pretty gross unfortunately. The chicken tasted like it came right out of a frozen Tyson bag. Sushi was better, but nothing incredible. Thai tea was very weak. However, when I asked to get more of the tea flavor the waitress kindly gave me a cup of it. Friendly waitresses and sushi chefs.

Food is always tasty and prices are great, especially if paying in cash. Service has declined though. The last two times, servers have not been as nice as in my previous visits. Still recommend.

We've dined at Masago before and have a positive experience, but we ordered take out on Saturday and unfortunately found a bandaid in our sushi. To their credit, they were prompt to respond on the phone, followup by text and offered a refund if we brought the dish back to the restaurant. However, they denied that this bandaid was one stocked at their restaurant or worn by any of their employees. We were mostly worried about food safety of ourselves and other guests from that day.

Service was terrible. Employees were on their phones the entire time my party was sitting in the restaurant waiting. Took over 20 minutes for someone to even come to our table and we were the only ones in the restaurant. They never came back to check on us after we got our food and took them forever to get our check. On top of that food wasn’t very good and all glasses were dirty. I will not be back

The staff at Masago in Morristown displays a concerning lack of attentiveness, even when handling orders through phone calls or self-pickup via DoorDash. Those at the front desk in the billing area, in particular, are treating customers poorly. Additionally, inquiries about order status are met with unprofessional, rude behavior, resulting in a disappointing and unacceptable customer service experience.

Visiting from out of town, the food was okay. But when I tell you I didn’t feel comfortable at all I actually mean it. Felt like someone was breathing over me at all times and kind of force their customers for a tip which is a horrible thing to do in that kinda of business.

I am the local resident in this area and I love Japanese food very much, I have tried many Japanese restaurant around the area but I went to Masago today and had a very bad experience! First of all, I went to the table sit down with my wife and expecting waitress can come over to give us a mune but there was only one waiter seems very busy around and did not see us, I was waited a long time then asking for mune and the waiter bring a mune and soon left without asking us to drinking water or hot tea! My wife was very upset because today is her birthday, I want give her a perfect celebration but the waiter really let us feel uncomfortable in the first beginning! After waiting for another 20 minitues, the waiter came to the table asking us ready to order or not, she was give us a cold face seems we are own lots money of her, after she took the order of us, she still did not asking us what we want drink, then my wife said to her: please give us two cup of ice water because we are really thirsty! I think this is very bad because she seems like never did waitress job before and when she speaking English have a very strong Chinese accent, we even do not understand what she is talking about! This is my first time came to Masago Japanese restaurant and me and my wife did not enjoyed our dinner at all! The worst thing about the service of the restaurant was during the time we are eating the food, the waitress did not come to our table to add more water and asking us: everything is ok? How is the food? Do you want add more food etc ….. when we finished the food, the waiter bring the check and told us we have to give 25 percent tip at least because she need good tip! Oh my god! This the worst Japanese I have ever been to and I would never come back!

Busy on a Friday night. Bit dirty, guess some people dropped some stuff. Waitress was tough to understand and didn't understand me. Food came out at random and slow. Prices are good.

I’m really disappointed to say that Masago has let me down. The food was good as always but the quality of service has become beyond poor. The woman that was our server basically rolled her eyes at us at every request (like asking for a cup water) and gave no responses. Then, when we went to pay we were told we have to pay an 18% tip which was not deserved by the quality of service. We also were not a big group, just two, which is unusual to have a required tip for a small party. Please get new servers.

My family and I were regularly customers at this place, but unfortunately every time we were there we felt uncomfortable with the service, sometimes we felt they were racist. The last time we were there, the waitress was so rude with us and our friends that I promise myself not going back. They lost another customer! They are unprofessional and have not idea on how to treat and provide at least the basic service. Unfortunately for them they have the worse customer service! Not recommended at all!

I’ve been dining in and ordering takeout here for the past year on a weekly to bi-weekly basis. Every time I pick up my food the manager has an attitude and lacks manners, never been an issue to me because I’m only there to pick up food. Tonight I dined in with a party of 3 and upon leaving $120 to pay the $90 bill, we only received $10 back in change. The reason we gave $120 instead of $100 to cover a $90 bill is because we wanted singles back.

We politely mentioned the missing $20 and instead of offering to figure it out with us like a professional, the same manager accused us of giving the wrong amount and stormed off to the back while giving us angry looks. They then had us waiting for 15 minutes, and when she came back the first and only solution she gave was that she was going to show us the CCTV camera footage of us apparently giving an amount that would justify the amount we were given back. I don’t even know how they’d be able to see individual bills on camera footage. Seems silly.

We then let the staff know that the remaining $20 dollars that they would find at the end of the night would be their tip and they continued to disrespect and fight with us. To clarify, we did not steal from them nor did they steal from us because we would’ve given that amount of tip anyway. It was just the principle of how they acted and the accusation against us in front of the whole restaurant.

Again, I have been ordering here weekly for a year and I give the correct amount of cash every time. I have no reason to lie over $20. Needless to say, we won’t be going back. They lost a customer over a $20 bill that they have in their register anyway.

Service was terrible. Our waiter was very rude and rolling her eyes while we were ordering. Then when I asked for the cash total (because there is a discount for cash) she proceeded to tell me that was the cash total even though I knew it was not as i’ve been there plenty of times and payed less for exactly what I ordered. She then rolled her eyes at the tip we left, that despite her attitude we still gave her a 20% tip for a 20$ order.
