My wife and I have frequentOrale many times in Morristown NJ. Its a place for great margaritas and apps like the yyna fries, nachos, quac. After numerous full meals the main dish menu is not very good. Understand the regional nature of menu but not very appealing in way cooked or prepared. No matter the recipe, if not cooked or prepared well as in this case, not a good meal.

My wife and I had an amazing dinner last night at Orale, our first visit. When we passed the place a few weeks ago and looked in, the staff beckoned us in with wide arms and smiles, and we decided we had to try it. Too bad we didn't go sooner! The flight of 3 guacamoles and 3 side sauces were distinctive and creative. We ordered the two special entrees: red snapper in a green mole and birria tacos with an authentic, delicious birria broth. This is authentic Mexican cuisine at its best, served by an extraordinarily friendly staff, and we will be back many times to try the rest of the menu!

Lively atmosphere, great service and wonderful food and drinks! Our first visit, but it won't be our last. Amazing margharita's (maybe a little less ice), delicious guacamole sampler (I think the one with black garlic was my favorite) and delicous shrimp and special brisket tacos. Definitely recommend.

The food was excellent along with the service. Ambience was good but it got busy and loud. I take that as a good sign though. Prices were good and I would definitely consider going again. It's a good place to dine before a show at the nearby theatre so the location was key. A big thanks to the owners and staff for a nice night out!

The service top tier, foods delicious, my only complaint and its the same everytime we've eaten their is their margaritas, they're delicious but served in a small old fashion glass loaded with ice, if you order the elite like I always do, you only get 3 or four sips , too small for $17 dollars ,I've tried ice on the side. My friends and I, a party of 7, each came in and ordered 6 appetizers, a round of shots, and a round of drinks. Before all of the food had even come out, a man who I assume was the manager came out and *informed us* that, if a reservation is made for New Year’s Eve, it is expected that entrees will be ordered and that, in the future, we must order entrees. Having several years of restaurant experience as a hostess, bartender, and server, not only was that interaction unprofessional, but it was simply untrue. Unless it is explicitly stated on your website, that is an inappropriate expectation. To clarify, the majority of our appetizers were the same pricing as several entrees, and we had not stated that we were finished ordering. One of the people in our group also has Celiac’s disease, and cannot eat any food in restaurants as, if food is even cooked in the same area as gluten, he has severe reaction that can lasting several months.
I approached this assumed manager after we had finished our meal and explained that his visit to our table felt unnecessary and really impacted our experience. I also explained that a friend in the group is unable to eat at restaraunts and would not have ordered regardless. He responded with defensiveness with statements like “I’m sorry you feel that way” and “your friend could’ve gotten the lettuce wraps.” Overall the interactions with this man felt unwarranted, immature, and unprofessional. Do better.

I wanted to love this restaurant. The waiter was excellent and the food was delicious. The only thing lacking was the manager/whatever “man” had the audacity to confront my table.
Our dinner started out wonderful. As a party of 7 we all ordered a round of shots, a round of drinks, and 6 appetizers ($403). 1 person in our party has sever celiacs and did not order anything due to that and was there only for the vibes. Upon placing our order, this “man” who I’m assuming is the manger (super skinny, glasses, looks like he’s never worked out a day in his life, Indian-passing, parents probably disappointed in him) came up to us and stated “hey in the future, it’s NYE you need to order entries and not just appetizers”. This completely threw off our vibe. We were planning on ordering a second round of appetizers, but due to this comment we did not.
When leaving the restaurant we confronted said “man” and told told that it seemed inappropriate to approach our table like that, when I’d entrées were required it should have been listed on the website. We were extremely polite with our concerns and all he could say was “I’m sorry you feel that way. We have lettuce wraps on the menu your friend with gluten problems could have ordered”. Our friend doesn’t have “gluten problems”, he is severely gluten intolerant and therefore does not eat out. I also recorded this entire conversation if whoever owns this chain would like to hear your employees response.
So, it was really disappointing. If you want entrees only that’s fine, just please update your website. And again, we were going to order 6 more appetizers but did not due to this experience.
Please look into this as this “manager” or whoever it was, because they need training regarding customer service and ADA requirements on how disabilities related to food are covered under restaurants.

We came in as a party of 7 for drinks and food and decided to start by sharing a few appetizers. We were all vibing, having a good time, until someone (I guess the manager - 5’7” ish, skinny, tan skin, glasses, beard) came over and told us they didn’t like that we hadn’t ordered any entrees.
Ordering entrees wasn’t out of the question, but being told this while we were waiting for our food felt unnecessary and awkward. That interaction completely changed the vibe and made the rest of the experience uncomfortable.
We came in with good spirits, but after that comment it was hard to enjoy anything. We kinda felt trapped there and we considered leaving although we didn’t want to cause an issue with the kitchen and wait staff.
Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming, and we won’t be coming back. The whole experience was just grody and weird.
Edit: as we were leaving, someone from our party wanted to talk to the manager to express that we were upset … big mistake… they were totally rude and didn’t have any customer service skills…

We were looking for a place to eat and ended up coming here by chance. Our server Fausto was suuuuper nice and friendly, made us feel very welcome. The music was good and not too loud (big plus!!) I’m not very familiar with this cuisine, so I just ordered what sounded good, and everything was really delicious!
Overall, great experience. Would definitely recommend and come back again🩷

Their rice was mixed with meat, which he forgot to inform us until we explicitly asked and one of us had already started eating. She left the rest of her plate untouched. We also were slightly surprised that they couldn't make the adjustments for a vegetarian diet.
But, we liked the ambiance and the staff, in general, seemed nice.

Wonderful, authentic Mexican food. Best guacamole I've ever tasted! The pork belly bao buns are insanely good. And don't get me started on the tuna tacos. The burrito my son ordered was literally the size of my pillow at home! It easily can be for two, along with sharing some of the appies. Muy delicioso!
