We came here from Staten Island not knowing what to expect, and we were pleasantly surprised. The owner and who I believe was the manager were very pleasant and personable. The service and food were excellent, and the prices were extremely reasonable. We will definitely return soon.

I attended an event here. The food was excellent. Plentiful and tasty. The best eggplant parm I've ever had. The chicken dishes were tender and well seasoned. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was wonderful. The service was seemless, professional & friendly. The staff is warm, welcoming and they go above and beyond. The ambiance is warm and welcoming. I will be visiting again. What a hidden gem - I have driven past for years and never knew what I was missing.

My wife and I went to Portofino's many years ago and the dinner wasn't what we expected. The meals were poorly cooked and unimpressive but the place is always packed so maybe it was an aberration. I tried the take out and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered a chicken parm sandwich, which was perfectly cooked and a side of fries that were good. The service was very good - I was greeted pleasantly at the door and LOVED the complementary bread. Only negative would be no napkin in the bag. I might be willing to give the place a try again.

Our table was in the corner, rather tightly spaced given that my spouse was walking with a cane & limited mobility. Our server asked if we'd like Parmesan cheese for our entrees, I said yes, but I had to remind him. And my chicken was on the edge of not being fully cooked, almost sent it back. Plus there was a group of men a few tables from us who were SO NOISY, was really annoying how people never consider others

Portofino's is one of our favorite restaurants in Morristown. The service consistently exceeds our expectations and the food never disappoints. If you have room after your meal to try one of the delicious desserts, I would not pass it up.

Prompt service, good attention to detail, and our meals were both prepared to our liking. We had allocated about 1.5 hours for an early dinner to make a show at the Mayo Theatre. Everything worked out well.

Very cute Italian place, the salmon bruschetta was cooked perfectly as well as the chicken milanese. Would recommend if you're in the parsippany area.

Had our monthly date night here. The food was excellent! A little bit noisy by some boisterous customers but was ok. Staff was busy running around. I would definitely recommend dining here. We will be sure to come back.

We went here for our anniversary dinner, and let me tell you it was top notch. The atmosphere was adorable and very cozy. The food was excellent and the portions were large! But our biggest seller was our waitress Gina, she was amazing! She was so attentive had such a great personality. Even the men who were running the food were so nice and attentive as well. We were looking for potential rehearsal dinner places and I think this place won us over.

Overall, Portofino is great value for the dollar. Excellent food with large portions. Delicious recipes. Frequented mostly by locals. Service is good. You're never waiting too long. Waiters are attentive and smart. Most of the areas for improvement are related to atmosphere. Portofino has so much potential to be a cozy, tucked away gem in Morristown. The outside and exterior are inviting and charming. The inside, however, is a bit stark and sterile. The lighting is too bright. And they may even be using LED spot lights on the ceiling, which totally ruin the atmosphere. They need to dim the lights, use incandescent bulbs, and maybe drop some of those faux tea candlelights on the tables. And maybe warm up the walls a bit more with welcoming art work. And more enhancements along those Ines, especially in the lobby and main dining rooms. Rhe owner should hire an interior design consultant. It would go a long way. So much potential. If they do these things related to atmosphere, Portofino is at least 4 stars, maybe 5. We'll be back, but with sunglasses.

I can't believe I'm a Morristonian and haven't been here. It was a perfect night spent w/family celebrating my birthday! Note: it's BYOB which made it even better

I can't believe the food I ate came from a pizza place. I ordered their angel hair pasta with vodka (creamy tomato sauce) and scallops and shrimp. The meal was delivered within the twenty minute window they gave me, the driver, having already received his tip through the billing process, texted me when he dropped it off so it wouldn't get cold. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, not something that always happens in a pasta dish. And the scallops were large and tasty and equally well cooked. The serving size was ample, so large in fact that I had my leftovers for dinner the next night. The sauce was a perfect blend of tomato and cream. They added bread, for free. Just writing this review makes me want it again. I will be reordering this dish from them soon. Maybe I'll even try their pizza!
