Like walking into a restaurant on the titanic, beautiful and classy! Fantastic service, fantastic food! My Mule was perfectly made and I ordered another! Highly recommend! One of the best places to go on a date in Morristown! Don’t skimp on your woman!

Spectacular long standing star in morristown. Consistently meets high standards Only French restaurant in the area.

Incredible old school vibe with excellently prepared French classics, amazing service, and a good wine list that won't break the bank if you don't want. Ask for a banquette table if you can get one, and dress up a bit to fit the in better. I recommend trying a special or two: the pate of duck leg confit was awesome, as was the beet salad. The scallops were done perfectly. Don't be turned off by "old school French food" if you don't know it. The chef has free rein from the owner to try new things (see the comment on trying specials).

Horrible experience on Valentine’s Day. Booked this special dinner with my wife about one month prior. Confirmed the night before because we were excited and knew how busy so wanted to make sure. We spent time reviewing the menu online and knew exactly what we wanted to try. When we arrived (20 min early to our reservations) we were immediately seated. We were handed the menus and to our SHOCK we discovered the fixed price menu of $150 PER PERSON! it was exactly the same menu online which advertised prices 1/4 to 1/3 of that cost. AT NO POINT did anyone advise us of this price for the dinner ahead of time. We were extremely disappointed because this is just common courtesy and very deceiving. I know it’s Valentine’s Day but you must advise customers of the cost and it shouldn’t come as a surprise. Suffice to say despite the fact that we could have paid, we felt betrayed and it’s about the the principle of the matter… so we left (especially since we asked and they said they wouldn’t make any concessions). It ruined our night but fortunately we found a better restaurant at a fraction of the price.

Came here for Valentine's day. We originally picked this place, as it seemed worth the price. After looking at the menu online, it looked like we would pay somewhere between $80-$100 per person. The first thing we were greeted with upon sitting down was a menu with an upcharged price of $150 per person. The food really better be worth it for a price like this. It wasn't.The foie gras was unexpectedly cooked. A bold choice. While the taste combination with the curry was interesting, it was marred by the unpleasant chewiness of the foie gras, which left an oily aftertaste. Online, this is priced at $35, but at this upcharged price, it was $50The filet mignon was alright, not outstanding. The seafood pasta was the most disappointing. The scallops were rubbery, the dish overall was bland, and the sauce was basically water. Finally the dessert came out. A run-of-the-mill brownie with a chocolate dipped strawberry and an ok macaron. $50 for a brownie, really??The food was disappointing. The decor was beautiful, the building is marvelous. The waiter was very kind. However, there were too many waiters running around. There was constant traffic around our table, and some waiters just stood next to our table chatting loudly. The live pianist would have be a nice touch if only he didn't pause for 20 minutes after playing two pieces. This place did not make a good first impression. Definitely not worth the almost $500 tab for a two person dinner!! Outrageously priced!!

food was really mediocre, and we were shocked by the increase in price just due to valentines. seems if we came the day before or after, our price would've been reduced by a third. prices online are much cheaper, but their special valentines menu (which was exactly the same as the website's standard menu) had a huge price increase. absolutely ridiculous. $150 per person which included an appetizer, entree, and a brownie dessert, so $50 for each course. The same foods I ordered off that menu were much less pricey online. foie gras was rubbery and wet whereas it should be a fluffy mousse, the pasta was bland and watery with soggy noodles, and the brownie was too cold and unoriginal to be $50. We have fine dining experiences fairly regularly, and wouldn't have minded if the food was tasty enough to justify the price, but I wouldn't even come back here if they had priced our meal half off. It was loud inside. The pianist played only a handful of times but seemingly went out for errands in between pieces, because it would be a long wait between each song. Not really romantic ambiance despite the beautiful scenery. A man, who I assume was the owner, came out to check on all the tables towards the end of the meal, and was pleasant. We also ordered a glass of wine each, that was fine. Hard to mess up wine. The glasses weren't spotless, though, but probably because they were run through a dishwasher rather than dried properly. What I'm most disappointed with is the price. Not worth our nearly $400 bill (before tip). Honestly, we would've had a better time going to a mid-tier restaurant; the food and price would've been better anywhere else. Very disappointing.

The Lobster Bisque soup was not creamy at all, tasted like it had a look of beef broth in it and there were only 4-5 very small pieces of Lobster in the soup. Also, the French Onion soup was very sweet, so that was a little disappointing as well. The only food that I really enjoyed was the Shrimp Scampi Appitizer. The mixed drinks were good too. I would probably go back again, but definitely would try some different dishes.
