Back for the start of the new year and the food is just as good as we remembered! Thanks to the chef, who made the BEST grilled cheese for my 85 year old mother to go with her favorite soup!!

This was our first visit to Carlucci's, but I would like to go back soon! There were 9 adults a teenager and 2 under 8 yrs old. Everyone enjoyed each dish from the appetizers through dessert and coffee. The you man Josè that waited on us along with the rest of the staff were very professional, and pleasant.

This is was my first time eating at this Rancocas River waterfront Italian restaurant. We were part of a repass luncheon that included 80ish people. The covered / enclosed former outdoor patio had linen table cloth covered tables that seated up to 10 people. The day we dined unfortunately was rainy so we could not get a true view of the river on a clear day. Our lunch menu options included a First Course (Tossed Green Salad), Main (Veal Parmigiana, Chicken Francese or Stuffed Shells) and Dessert (Tiramisu). What I Liked: -\tThe view was very nice even though it was a rainy day because the back of the enclosed dining area is all windows -\tThe enclosed outdoor dining area was very spacious and appropriate for large functions -\tThe salad was small but acceptable. The creamy Italian dressing was good. -\tThe Chicken Francese was good and came with some broccoli and mashed potato -\tThe linguine served with the veal parmigiana was cooked perfectly -\tThe tiramisu was OK but not great What I Did Not Like -\tThe enclosed patio temperature was very warm and uncomfortable -\tThe men’s room was the smallest one I have ever seen for a restaurant of this size. It was an 8ft x 8 ft L-Shape that had one stall, two urinals and a sink crammed together. Horrible, worse than a dive bar. -\tThe service was less than acceptable. As an example, we did not have rolls on our table until the salad was finished and they did not bring around the grated cheese until I was almost finished with my meal. -\tMy veal parmesan might have been the worst I have ever been served. It is possible that they used a very thin layer of cardboard disguised as veal with a burnt bread crumb coating. It is embarrassing for a place like this to allow it to make it way out of the kitchen to anywhere but the garbage can. -\tTheir homemade tomato sauce tasted like they poured tomato puree out of a can and heated it before serving -\tThe pizza dough rolls tasted lousy, so I left the rest after eating a small piece My overall restaurant rating is 6.8/10. My Italian Scallion culinary rating is 7.3/10 Cloves of Garlic for the chicken and 2.7/10 for the disgraceful veal and sauce.

Very nice place. Classy. Great food. Great service. A place to go for a special occasion because it is VERY expensive.

Service was great
Food was ok. Not worth $200 for 4 people. The crab cakes should be listed as an appetizer as opposed to an entree as it's just two cakes on a plate no sides or anything. The salad was especially over priced.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The ambiance service and food was great. I will recommend this place to my family and friends. We will return to dine here again. I am glad to have chosen this restaurant for my birthday. Thanks for the birthday card as well. Thank to the waitress whose birthday was the same day as mine she was attentive and very friendly. The cannoli was a great touch at the end singing happy birthday to me was a bonus.

The scallops with crabmeat wrapped in bacon were excellent. The shrimp with risotto was tasteless. I was not offered parmigiana if I wanted for the risotto. The side of sautéed spinach was excellent. Be sure to order as a side. Disappointed that for an Italian restaurant they provided sourdough rolls! Why not Italian bread with oil dipping. I commented to the waitress and she brought Italian bread. Lovely atmosphere. As a former NJ resident I used to frequent Carlucci's on Princeton Hightstown Rd. Loved it especially the little pizza squares in the bread basket.

This my second visit this week. Whenever I come to town, I make reservations. The food, staff and owners are wonderful.

This was our first time at Carlucci's. I chose it from reading reviews and exploring the website. The food and service were both outstanding. Our waitress, Rose, was accommodating and always available when needed. She seemed to sense when she was wanted at the table. The only negative was our table. We were a party of four, but seated at a table that should be used to accommodate a party of two. We ordered appetizers, entrees, sides and drinks, and were forever shifting plates, glasses, condiments, silver, and bread around, which resulted in insufficient dining space throughout our visit. We were cramped and the experience was diminished because we could not enjoy our dining comfortably, even though everything we ordered was delicious, and served appropriately hot. We will return because the food and service were so good, and hope for an appropriate table next time.

The website definitely gave the place a different look than what it was in real time. There was construction going on and quite busy. We had like 2-3 different servers and was not checked on that often. Thought about dessert but had to wait to even get our waiter to notice us. Food was good and yea lots of young kids as the servers and just was very unorganized I felt.

Excellent Meal! Waiter was very attentive and embodied how true fine dining service should be. We definitely will be back!
