Just want to give a shout-out to El Azteca, aka Cocina Azteca! It’s a hidden gem of a restaurant. Casual spot and the food is so good! Have been going there for years and then life got busy and hadn’t been there in a while. My son and I went there tonight and the food was just as good as we remembered it. The owner remembered us and asked us how we’ve been. So surprised by that. It was so sweet. Our favorites are the tamales, taquitos platter, chili rellenos, and enchiladas. But seriously, it’s all very good. If you’re craving authentic Mexican food, please try it out!😊

I’ve ordered from DoorDash before but this was our first time visiting in person. The staff was friendly, the art around the place is beautiful, and most importantly the food taste great. I love it that they have REAL queso blanco (not the stuff that taste like cheese wiz). 10/10 recommend.

The food was amazing and authentic. Delicious salsas and guacamole. It's impossible to find a good Mexican restaurant around here so this was gold. One star down for service ONLY because we had communication problems. I don't speak a ton of Spanish and he doesn't speak a ton of English. But we managed well enough anyway. He was very kind and eager to please. The building, though rundown, was clearly maintained to their best abilities. The pricing was fair and good. The food was very filling, and we always have some to take home.
I have now been in twice. We were so disappointed to move to NJ and not have our "go to" Mexican place. Finally, tucked behind the Dunkin donuts is the most unassumingly delicious option for miles around. We finally have our go to Mexican restaurant, NJ is now home.
Highly recommend barria tacos & tacos de chorizo!! Ask for the tres leches homemade 🍰 cake!
This is true Mexican food, I had the barria tacos as I would always get at an amazing Mexican restaurant and was astonished because of how good it was. Ps. There wasn't a hole in the wall

This place is EXCELLENT!!! The portions are HUGE (ask for the two other salsas, it will change your life) the service is fantastic!!! Came yesterday for lunch, again today and I imagine tomorrow might be the same!! Highly recommend, best in NJ.

PPS. My iced tea was excellent, I am from Los Angeles, I am Mexican American. This is authentic Mexican food. If you’re looking for fakesikan food go to Taco Bell.
