I had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. We had to wait forever before the waitress even bothered to take our order — she literally stood there and ignored us for several minutes. When she finally decided to come over, she was rude and unfriendly, which really set the tone for the rest of the meal.
The service continued to be careless; she brought out the plates and forks right at the table in a sloppy way. I ordered a bento box, and the only thing worth eating was the chicken katsu. The sushi tasted like it was made from second- or third-quality fish, the soup had no flavor, and the “salad” was just mushy iceberg bits.
The decor tries too hard to look “authentic,” but it feels more like kitsch than culture. Also, despite all the Japanese-style menu items, the place is actually Chinese-owned — which might explain why the sushi doesn’t come close to real Japanese standards. Overall, between the rude service and mediocre food, I wouldn’t recommend this place at all.

I've been here countless times with my family and friends. Food AND service is always great. If you want a deal, they have a lunch deal on sushi from 11-3, I believe. Let me emphasise this is the best sushi place for the price. Family-owned and operated.

A diamond in the rough! In the middle of a strip mall, you will not find a better Bento box close to you!! Miyabi was such an amazing surprise!!! You would be hard pressed to find Japanese cuisine this good for this price anywhere else in New Jersey! Get a taste of tradition in a modern environment right down the road from you!

I ordered hibachi steak dinner for lunch, and my girlfriend ordered the sushi lunch combo. My girlfriend enjoyed her sushi and it’s the only reason I’m rating this 2 stars. I however ordered a medium rare steak and got it well done, and to my surprise they don’t give you any hibachi noodles, and if you want fried rice it’s 3.50$ more (absurd) the steak was dry. I remember actually spelling “RARE” on the phone with the lady to ensure it was cooked properly, oh and the yum yum sauce was awful. This is a sushi spot, do not recommend the hibachi at all.

I ordered sushi tonight for take out and I can say this is my new favorite place! I ordered the crazy tuna roll, salmon avocado roll, miso soup, and a ginger salad. The ingredients taste so fresh and everything has excellent flavor. I am so happy with everything and will become a regular in no time!

Today I had my last takeout from Miyabi. I used to love their negimaki bento box lunch, no more. The ingredients have clearly been lowered in quality while price, as always, is high. The food was so poor that I was shocked and not sure what they had given me. I will never go back. I am more sad than angry.
