4.5 starsI've been a customer for many years. The food is consistently the very best Indian food I've had anywhere, including NYC, Chicago and overseas. Hard to believe in little ol' Mt. Laurel, but it's true. Out of town friends are astonished every time.My only gripe is the value. $19 for a pint of Saag Paneer? $19 for a pint of Chicken Tikka Masala? I have a longtime friend who ran an Indian restaurant for 25 years and I know how much goes into the food (it's not cheap), but 1.5x portions seem more reasonable for the prices. That said, I'll continue to be a customer and will certainly do my best to support them during these difficult Covid times, especially for the restaurant industry.
I was looking for an Indian restaurant and discovered Monsoon. I was starving when I arrived. Sad to say they were open only for take out (but I sat at an outside table). The food was fresh and delicious. The condiments tasted very fresh (very, as if they made it, not out of a jar). The gentleman who helped me was friendly, well spoken and helpful.Would recommend to anyone who enjoys (northern) Indian food!
The food was delicious and plentiful. Even though they are only doing take out right now the staff were very nice. I highly recommend if you have a taste for Indian.
Good food, Great atmosphere!
highly recommend this restaurant for Indian food in the city. I tried their chicken biryani and lamb korma, were so good.
They mixed two orders together. The Vegetable Korma had cheese in it. Muttar Paneer had no tomato sauce (Vegetable Korma sauce). There were the same cheese cubes in both containers. The food tasted good. I'm just surprised that they did that for the money they charge for each order (nineteen dollars).
The food is good. However, every time I order the Kadai Chicken (and explicitly state ‘the chicken with the onions and peppers), I receive Chicken Curry. Each time, I have to wait for them to correct my order. And each time, the staff is telling me how to order it “correctly” the next time. Today, I placed an order exactly the way I was told and it was still wrong.
Nowhere does it say take out only. Even the Google listing says Dine in. Turned way, take out only they claim. Changed my long standing review from 5 stars to 1. Not the way to run a business.
Beautiful storefront, excellent food. Very nice people. We will definitely be back again.
Pricy, but you get what you pay for. Everytime it is so good. Never had a bad experience.

Food wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t say it was good either. For the price point they can definitely improve a lot. But hospitality and customer services is really good.
I ordered chicken biryani and garlic naan. The chicken biryani was more like pulao and should not be called biryani. They charged $20 and the quantity is very less. And there was a piece of hair in my dish. Garlic naan was okay but they gave one for $5. This place is overpriced for the quality and quantity of the food. Would not order from here again. 1 star for delivering on time.
Great owner; absolutely enjoyed the Kashmiri Naan.
Very good food and decent portion size, considering the food. We get medium and it's still spicy!
First timer. I had the chicken tikka marsala. It was good.Next time I will get it spicy instead of medium spicy. It didn't have enough kick for my taste. I will give it another go.
