The place itself was beautiful the host to the waitress was very friendly and didn’t mind a conversation. Everything was delicious to the appetizers to the courses. The only thing that wasn’t great was the NY stripe aged steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare but this was the worst chewy steak I ever had. I saved majority of it to see if I could fix it at home but no luck. Just not the best quality steak and was hoping it was due to grill being in the name. They only charged $8 bucks for that little dollop of butter on top of the steak. The best thing we had was the scallops they are to die for! They melt in your mouth and the flavor was fantastic. I would come again just wouldn’t get their steak again.

Food was amazing . Server was amazing.. very friendly. He went out of his way to make sure my father who is hard of hearing understood everything he was saying. Time between courses a bit long but not horrible. Issue was the live band. It was so loud and made our dining experience miserable. We could not have a conversation. The band was good but just didn’t make sense in a fine dining restaurant. Our reservation was 5:45 so not like we were eating late.. maybe if band started at 9 or after would make more sense.

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our 41st anniversary at Monterey Grill! From start to finish, the service and atmosphere were exceptional. Our waiter, Khaleil, was absolutely fabulous—attentive, friendly, and made us feel so special all evening. Brandon and Jerome from the management team, personally checked in and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Samantha, our bartender, crafted delicious cocktails and added such warmth to the night with her great personality and preciseness.
We ordered from all three menus, and every dish was top-notch—beautifully prepared, flavorful, and perfectly presented. The cocktails were equally outstanding, creative, and expertly balanced.
The live music was amazing and created the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Everything—from the food and drinks to the service and ambiance—was absolutely five-star.
Thank you to the entire Monterey Grill team for making our 41st anniversary truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back! 💕

Disappointed the way my issue was handled as far as my burger. When the bartender finally checked on me my burger was half gone. When you charge $20 for a burger($15 for happy hour you expect it to be the correct temp.Chef was told and blew it off and the manager never even spoke with me. Disappointed to say the least, especially when i spent almost $70!!! As a followup to this there has been no contact from ownership regarding my situation , which they normally respond to poor reviews, which really tells me all I need to know regarding this establishment!

Good, but not great. The good: The martini was well made and the $16 price tag hurt a little less. The aged NY strip was very good, however I didn't know what amount of days it was aged. At the $62 price tag, I think it's only fair to let me know if it's 30,60,90 days?
The bad: one of the worst Caesar salads I've ever had at a higher end restaurant. The lettuce was mostly white and no shaved parmesan. The croutons tasted out of the box. I was charged $14 for this salad. A complete rip-off! Next, the $12 truffle fries, were supposed to be hand cut, however did not taste anything like fresh fries. More like greasy fries out of a fryer. Despite the service being excellent, based on what I paid for the quality I received, I doubt I'll be returning anytime soon.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner here on our last night in town whilst here from South Florida visiting family. We came here the last time we were in town and were quite impressed. Ian was our server. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and efficient.

I was disappointed that they’ve changed their brand of Riesling listed on the menu wine list from the Mosel region of Germany to a California vineyard. Definitely was not to my liking.

Nonetheless, the rest of our dinner was spectacular. We had the wedge salad, 12 ounce fillet which was cooked to perfection, tender and very tasty. We also enjoyed a side of their signature spinach.

But I really must mention the crème brûlée 🍮 Truly, the best I’ve ever had. Chef Sally has perfected that creamy custard consistency, the Tahitian vanilla flavor and the caramelized topping. Heavenly delicious!

We highly recommend the Monterey Grill for it’s exceptional all around dining experience. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in town.

Was celebrating my father’s 91st birthday. For all the pretension, the food was a big disappointment. Especially given the prices. Flavors were bland. The steaks were way over cooked. Ordered medium rare. What was served was medium well, at best. The server even said “under cook it because you can always cook it more”. If it had cooked more, it wouldn’t have been edible! Sad given that it’s a steak house! The server was lovely, but more interested in what he had to say than what I had to say. Asked to keep service moving to get out before the music started and he completely ignored that. Needs to work on reading the room better.

Not long after I posted this review, the manager reached out to me to get details about our experience. Perhaps things have improved since we were there.

This was my second 3rd time at the restaurant and last night I really enjoyed their food. Our waitress Samantha was very personable and a great host. The happy hour food was delish, we ordered one of everything except the oysters. Sally the dessert chef was great as well and her desserts were divine.

One I will say....always go experience for yourself because your experience may be different from others. For example, I didn't care for the Sunday brunch but I'd definitely come back for the every day menu items
