On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

The bar tender Amanda was so incredibly rude and nasty. Amanda got my order wrong and when I told her, she rolled her eyes at me and made a comment that she was not notified by me about the modifications. Amanda then proceeded to make faces at me and was talking about me to colleagues which made me very uncomfortable. I was so uncomfortable, I got my food to go and left right away. Very bad experience because of Amanda. This happened on Wednesday Sept 17, 2025.

One of my favorite places to go! On The Border has one of the best menus for a Mexican restaurant. When I go here I know I’m going to have a great meal and enjoyable time with friends and family!

My fiancé and I love Mexican food, and I don’t like it too spicy so I ask for queso on the side. Never a problem. The last couple of times our waiter was “E”. An attentive young man who remembered us. He is putting himself through college. He’s a former high school wrestler (we are huge Penn State wrestling fans!) so we enjoyed talking with him. It wasn’t busy in the bar but we primarily watched the Phillies game on TV, had a good dinner (beef chimichanga and spicy shrimp tacos with rice and refined beans) followed by the warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream and a delicious mango frozen margarita. It was sunshine in a glass so we’ll be back for more! Thanks E for taking such good care of us. Waiters/waitresses could learn a lot from you. Hope to see you again very soon.

We’ve been multiple times, LYNN was our waitress and she was AWESOME !! she was so kind and we had great conversation ! her service was impeccable. we’ll be back for lynn!

Horrible establishment if you’re BLACK! Don’t go to this one. They literally had us waiting forever to be served. No one even looked our way. After 20 mins we just got up and left. Don’t waste your time

Sat at a dirty table and the hostess rolled her eyes and gave attitude when asked to wipe down the table as a result she grabbed a napkin wiped one spot and said “good enough”? Unsatisfied I asked a worker bussing a nearby table to wipe down the table to which she responded which spot and proceeded it wipe over the same one spot that the hostess “wiped”. Are you serious? Why is so hard to just wipe down the table? The entire thing was covered in grease and spilled food.

The food took a long time to come and was subpar and not hot. Fish tacos were 2 cold, soggy fish sticks inside a tortilla with shredded cheese on top….. Who the hell is paying for that? Our waitress (young black girl -don’t remember her name) was very attentive however, but the experience from literally everyone else ensured that we will NOT return. Do not go here!!!! They act like it is a bother to do their job.

A huge thank you to the chef(s), who prepared my meal, just how I like it. It was delicious. 10 out of 10. A huge shout out to the bartender(s), for a perfectly made Long Island Iced Tea. I left On The Border, feeling full and happy. I can't wait until I return again with my family.

1st time here, Christina our service was on point, on time, perfect timing, and up selling for her company.She gave us ideas, and our special order came out perfect..Very friendly staff and the food was very good, tasty and most of all fresh...hats off to Christina for making things so special plus we will definitely be back on Saturday nights to ask for her...Great job 5 stars tonight...

Go check my reviews. Alwayz missing something. Guacamole please to not put on, yet they do eww. To ask for sour cream sorry sir we forgot. Online even worse
