HORRIBLE HOSTESS& FOOD! I CAME BECAUSE IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY GET TOGETHER, THE HOSTESS AT THE FRONT WAS TOLD BY A PARTY MEMBER WHO HAD PLANNED FOR ME TO COME HERE IN HONOR OF MY BIRTHDAY, AND WHEN I WALKED IN SHE LOOKED ME UP& DOWN AND WOULDN'T SPEAK TO ME& MY CHILDREN INTO I ALMOST SAT DOWN, I THINK SHE FORGOT SHE WASN'T ON THE STREETS & ACTUALLY AT WORK, MY PARTY PLANNER WAS ALREADY THERE WAITING FOR MY ARRIVAL, WE HAD MORE GUEST COMING FROM PHILADELPHIA WHICH WE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TIME THEY WOULD ARRIVE, THE HOSTESS RUDELY SAID I QUOTE: DO Y'ALL KNOW WHEN THEY GETTING HERE.. I DIDN'T KNOW AS I WAS THE HONOREE, THEN SHE RUDELY SAID SO DON'T NO BODY KNOW ANYTHING.. I HAD GO TELL HER WE SAID TO YOU 3 TIMES WE DIDN'T KNOW.. I WAS DONE WITH HER ATTITUDE & READY TO GO IMMEDIATELY! BUT STAYED FOR NASTY FOOD THAT WAS OVER COOKED, FIRST TIME COMING & LAST TIME COMING AND I LIVE IN THE AREA HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! HOSTESSES NEEDS AN ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT, BREE THE SERVER WAS AMAZING THOUGH!!
I was sang the happiest soul birthday song of all time by the staff. Would give 6 stars if I could. You made my night. Thank you Fridays staff.
So I ordered late night for a pickup order. The pickup order was through DoorDash and the ordering process was fairly easy on that end. Skip to pickup. I parked in the curbside pickup as a customer not planning to eat at the restaurant I understood this to be the appropriate thing to do. I called the phone number as per the instructions in DoorDash and told them I’m here to pickup an order I made through DoorDash. I told the lady my name and she replied rudely “well Ebonee since you’re picking up through DoorDash you must come inside to pickup your order. I promptly told the person on the phone I am a paying customer and not completing a delivery. After that, the lady begrudgingly agreed to bring the food out. The man that came out with my order was not wearing a jacket and proceeded to tell me usually DoorDash customers are made to come inside. He mentioned it was cold and that there was no TIP for walking my food outside. The DoorDash app doesn’t even provide an OPTION to provide a tip for the employee to walk outside. I suspect the manager was gone for the night and they didn’t feel like providing good customer service. The male employee implied that he doesn’t really agree with curbside pickup and blamed corporate for the poor decision to let customers receive that kind of service at the TGIF restaurants. I gave the employee a cash tip and thanked him for bringing the food out. I am a great tipper and I hate being treated rudely because DoorDash and TGIF have no agreement to compensate their employees for this service. I have included the pictures one from the DoorDash app and the second one from TGIF’s website for online ordering. Customers are the reason why this restaurant chain is able to pay their employees and even if I decided to NOT tip that would be my perogative. These employees didn’t deserve the tip I gave them tonight, and I did that to prove a point to the employees who made a biased opinion about me and what kind of service they would provide to me. The customer should always be treated the same whether they were tipped for walking 30 feet to my car or not.
I haven't had TGIF in years and decided order takeout this time because of proximity (08054 location). I ordered the kid pasta, fries, cherry limeade slush. My friend ordered the whiskey glazed chicken sandwich that she usually loves.1. The wait was long but that was expected on a Friday night2. When I checked order in car I realized they gave me the wrong order for my friend's meal so I went back in.3. I went back in and informed them of this and showed them the order on my phone. They then brought out another order after going back to correct it. Second order was wrong again as they gave me the whiskey glazed chicken entree instead of sandwich. (I could see through the clear plastic container this time, fist time it was not a clear container). I told them right there I don't think this is a sandwich to which the manager looked through it, realized it was another mistake, and then told me it's the same chicken used in the sandwich so would I be okay with it. I said sure if she just gives me another container with the components that would make up the sandwich. She returns with this and the proper side of fries (this entree had mash potatoes and broccoli inside)4. I return to my friend's home and present her with it. Apparently they just gave me generic sandwich toppings as opposed to those specific for the whiskey glazed chicken sandwich. I did not realize as I am not familiar with the TGIF's menu. Suffice it to say, she was not happy and tolerated the meal because it took almost an hour of actually getting it.5. My kid pasta (I wasn't too hungry and wanted a small meal) was so bland. I'm not sure if it's because it was a kid meal or poor execution.I doubt if I will return to this location, if not the entire franchise.
Fast service. Prices are good. Good variety of drinks.
We enjoyed our first dinner in a restaurant since the beginning of 2020. Our waitress was a very good natured waitress. I wasn't happy with the seating as we were right by the kitchen. One of the kitchen staff, or maybe he was a bus boy, did not have customer service on the tip of his list. However, over all, we enjoyed our meals.
Great customer service. Food is delicious. If you want my opinion try the bucket of bones!! Great pick plus it feeds 2 people no problem and that's just the appetizers plus Philly cheese steak rolls! The dipping sauce is the Bomb. ..
Tried to place an order online and tried to sign up to receive text messages so I could receive 10% off but was not given the code as promised after sending the required text message. I called and spoke to a woman who said she would give us the 10% off when we arrived but upon arrival said she would not give it to us unless we had the code which I specified over the phone earlier that we did not have. Bottom line don’t say you’ll discount our meal when you won’t.
This is totally my opinion. Some may like the faire at this restaurant but I feel it is an overpriced McDonald's. So if you find that type of food appetizing then you will like it. I never been a big fan but after about 20 years since I last ate there I figured I would give it another chance. Bad decision on my behalf. Overpriced for what you get. Food was not very good. Service at this one was bad. Waitress was sweet but disappeared for long periods of time. I do think she was by herself but there was only 2 more tables being used.Bottom line is that if you like mediocre Costco type frozen reheated for you for 10 times the value of it then go for it. Otherwise save yourself some money and go to a "Mom and Pop".
1.A MERE fraction of what they ever were. Do yourself a favor and go to a non chain restaurant. A paper.menu with half JD items removed. A lot of fried chicken fingers from restaurant depot. One salad offering. No seafood. Chicken and shrimp JD platter - gone.2. Don't sign up for their rewards program because they don't intend to honor it. The bartender didn't honor a coupon the company emailed me. He then proceeded to walk to the back of the restaurant to the uninterested manager who never came out.Hi corporate it was 10.27.20 at 9pm at Mount Laurel.Really, in this restaurant climate you would lose a customer over a 10 dollar free appetizer coupon you sent me!Bartender goes to back-First excuse was it was outdated by two daysShow bartender the Nov 11 date at the bottom of the email-second excuse it was already redeemed?!?!; But again the manager couldn't be bothered walking out to greet us.... you can smell the desperation here. Megan our waitress was awesome!!!The hostess was ignorant. No hello, no follow me, she was on her phone with earbuds in talking to someone. Will go back, but if its the same hostess, I will leave.
My go to meal Jack Daniels sampler. Tasty
Cajun Shrimp/Chicken was A1, the cheesy white sauce was incredibly flavorful, a must recommend. However, the staff is severely lacking, they need more employees. The interior is very dark and lazy, could use better lighting and a lighter paint job. Can't complain foodwise though!
Actually pretty good for a fast casual place. Vegetarian friendly. Little wider beer selection would be cool
Nicest, most organized, and attentive staff I have ever witnessed. COVID dining is so uncomfortable, but that staff and management at this Friday's work like it isn't an unusual time. The tables are clean, the food looks great and I had such an enjoyable time dining out.
