Barka Mediterranean Seafood & Steak

Went in for a family gathering and got seated at a quiet section of the restaurant promptly. The server Frank was very attentive and personable. Friday at five was already half full —- another good sign! All the dishes we ordered either met or exceeded expectations—- from appetizers to desserts. Portions should be good enough for hearty appetites. First time there and second time coming soon!

Everything about this restaurant is superb - the food, the service, and the ambiance. We've dined here several times and our opinion never wavers. It's truly and outstanding dining experience.

Loved the zucchini chips and Barka salad. My halibut and my husband's tuna were both great! It's was a Friday night so a bit loud but not terribly so. Will be back!

Very gracious and attentive staff, and a lovely setting. Food was absolutely delicious and portions so big! OMG, the seafood pappardelle was excellent. Impossible to finish in one sitting, so I brought the rest home for dinner that night and lunch the next day. I like spicy food so I would not have minded adding a little more “heat” to my entrée but I should have asked. Still, everything was very tasty. The music was a tad too loud for a quiet weekday lunch hour, but I'm sure it's fine for a busier weeknight dinner service. I had intended to leave more of a tip after the fact so I called “Boris“ and he said he would take care of my request. It's well deserved. I had a very enjoyable time.

The lamb shank on the bar tapas menu is probably the best value and quality in fine dining I have ever experienced!

Barka was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary. The service was wonderful and the food delicious.

I was at barka last night for my nephews first birthday, and everything was amazing. The service was perfect, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Food was great my wife and I fish specials they were excellent large portion and fresh. Service was great very attentive. Drinks and wine were also on the money. I recommend Barka make sure to make a reservation.

Our server was terrible never around , never even asked once if we needed anything , no drink refills etc .

The atmosphere and food were terrific. It was our first time eating at Barka and we enjoyed every item we ordered from cocktails to appetizers to the main course and desserts. The service was top notch. Our waiter confirmed food allergies and the food presentation was great. I did not give 5 stars for service because there were large parties which caused our waiter to take a long time to return to our table, especially with the finally check. We will definitely visit again!

First timers for a friend's birthday dinner and we were so disappointed. Took 10 minutes for someone to come to the table, 25 minutes total to receive drinks, had to remind the server 3 times our 4th person was on his way and to leave his place setting, took 10 more minutes to get the final drink, two of the drinks had barely any ice in them, finally placed an order and took a while to receive the apps. The “garlic” shrimp app was so weird and no taste, just breading. Crab cocktail was good, but over-presented. Same with the shrimp avocado. A few things places on a bed of iceberg. Scallops and shrimp dinner was the most horrific thing I have ever tasted and spent money on. Two scallops and two shrimp with largely cut grilled vegetables. They literally cut a whole potato into 3 huge pieces what were still hard and other veggies that were cut largely on a big plate as an illusion. Swimming in horrible olive oil with absolutely no flavor. Charcoal and oil. My two guests liked their seared tuna. Baklava was good and espresso martini was good. The service was the most atrocious next to the shrimp and scallop meal. This man was so careless and clueless. Truly felt like we didn't matter one bit. Took forever to come to us each time and had to ask for water countless times. On top of him being so absolutely horrible, he was a smart mouth when it came to discussing the bill. We wanted the cash price because there was a $13 credit card charge and then tax and then the total. So if you're paying cash and not paying attention you would tip on that fee which is a percentage of your bill.. ours as $450 for 4 people which was also ridiculous. Another server and him both gave us “I don't know what the total would be, most people pay card”. Straight argumentative. 3 hours for apps drinks food and dessert and 0 birthday hoopla. So disappointed. Would never ever return. They overbook and try and trick people and it's simply not worth it. I've had better food at a diner.
