I tried their Martin’s sausage gravy and swapped the biscuits for sourdough bread. The gravy wasn’t the classic style I’m used to, but the flavor had a little kick that made it stand out—in a really good way. And when a friend shared their buttered sourdough toast with me… oh my goodness. The flavor, the texture, the thickness—absolute perfection.

Our waitress was wonderful—so pleasant, attentive, and on point with everyone’s order.

Thanksgiving take out platters were delicious and portions were generous. The orange cranberry sauce was perfect. The pumpkin pie and chocolate pumpkin mousse pie were perfect!
The wait staff and kitchen were accommodating and perfect hosts while I waited.
Altogether, a perfect Thanksgiving experience!

The food is incredible ..I took my bosses boss here on a business lunch and they had to leave early to catch a flight. Which left me with their peanut butter pie 😍 so good. Their French onion soup was delicious!

Quaint place with an interesting brunch menu. Quiche and routine breakfast were both delicious with fresh ingredients. Very tasty!

Not the best experience. The fries were the only standout. Items listed on the menu and the price point did not match up with what arrived at the table. Soda machine was not working. Though the burger was cooked to temp, all the toppings were flavorless and the burger seemed like a frozen patty with no seasoning or real flavor. It seemed to have potential on paper, but fell very short.

Was excited for this place. Everything SOUNDS delicious. Taste was horrible. No taste actually. Bland and dry. Way too expensive.

Was very disappointed in our breakfast. We came this morning to celebrate our granddaughters, birthday have been the blue plate. Many a times have had breakfast. Lunch and dinner. One, the food was not hot. My daughter got the corned beef breakfast and was served just corned beef on a small plate, then they took it back. And brought out poached eggs and hash Browns when she was done eating. She said the best thing about her breakfast was the toast. My granddaughter got the Mexican breakfast, which was supposed to be scrambled. Eggs and cheese in a bowl with hash Browns.
She ate some of it, but it didn't look anything like we thought it should of. It was dry, no cheese., I had the lobster omelet with was very dry too could of used a sauce my son in law had the classic breakfast with scrapple, and this piece was so thinly cut it looked like just the outside hate to complain cause we have been here many times before but spending 150 on breakfast and nobody was happy with their food is upsetting

Today instead of matzo ball soup, which is my favorite, I tried the tomato bisque. Power move, baby! It was so good. Like fresh tomatoes, perfectly seasoned, not to creamy. It wasn't anything like Campbells. Yummy! Quiche was delicious as was my side salad. Charming place and servers . Treat yourself.

Menu was solid, meal quality very good. Started with matzoh ball soup, quiche, shared mushroom pasta dish, salad, and bread pudding dessert. Farm house style interior, had reservations and were seated in more informal section, maybe because of timing..

I have always been a big big fan of the Blue Plate. I’ve introduced many of my friends to this sweet little restaurant with the most delicious and creative menu options. Unfortunately, I hadn’t been there for a year because I’ve moved to Florida. But when I come back to New Jersey I aways try to stop at the Blue Plate.
Unfortunately, they have apparently changed chefs or cooks. I ordered a blackened salmon burger sandwich. It was very fishy and flavorless. It was supposed to be blackened. Usually blackened has seasoning, but this had no seasoning at all. And then it was slathered with mayonnaise, which they never mentioned on the menu. I am definitely not a fan of mayo. My Friend ordered the quiche it would’ve been better if they just served a quiche from ShopRite. It was flavorless and it seemed like scrambled eggs in a crust. My friend owns an Inn so I think that we both know how a quiche should taste. It was 100% lackluster to say the least. We also ordered the tomato bisque soup and it tasted like somebody just blended up a bunch of tomatoes, Warmed it and put it in a bowl. It was very thick and once again flavorless.
The waitress was very kind and wanted to bring us something different but everything that we ate was so poorly prepared that we did not want to try Anything else.
So after we paid a bill that was over $60 with the tip… we wondered what in the world did we just pay for?
I feel bad writing a bad review about a place that I truly used to enjoy. But they really need to know that their food is lacking. Maybe hire a new chef or a different cook?

Nice building in the center of a nice town. Decor is plain, unadorned. Food is average. Prices are too high, especially for the crab cake dinner I ordered for $36. The 2 large crab cakes had no noticeable lumps of crab, and contained lots of filler. The green beans, not very good, were a super-small portion. My wife's swordfish dinner was ok but she complained it lacked any green vegetable. The fish sat on a pile of rice or risotto. This was our first visit and we're not planning a return visit.
