I’m surprised this place isn’t rated a little better! I had the most amazing asada taco here and my partner loved his steak tacos! I will admit the service was verrry slow when I went even though it wasn’t busy in the front. Plus the chips and salsa aren’t very good. The chips taste stale and the salsa had big chunks of green onion in it, which I kind of liked but it wasn’t something I’d eat too much of. But the entree itself and atmosphere were both great.
Absolutely best tex-mex anywhere in the area. Very few restaurants do combination dinners anymore, but Jose's still has very reasonably priced platters, of multiple combinations, served with rice and the best beans around (in fact my SO likes to get an extra side of the beans, they're so good)! Generous portions, delicious food, friendly staff that has always been understanding and helpful.

This place is a hidden gem in NP. Perfect, authentic, little Cantina serving up delicious food with a friendly smile. Highly recommend the Camerones Oaxaquinoes... grilled and seasoned shrimp the size of small lobsters served with rice, refried beans, guacamole, tomatoes, and lettuce. Oh, and the place is BYOB... so go pick yourself up a bottled margarita next door. You will not be disappointed! ????
