Lunch special was great. Love the psoriasis fries they use. Not sure I've ever had a triple decker blt burger before but it was delicious and didn't taste like a frozen patty. Would definitely come back

I came here on a Friday night and we were seated quickly but the first thing that struck me as off was the restaurants obsession with their ratings. On the wall by the entrance were all sorts of awards, the floor had a giant sticker proclaiming it won something and the placemats on the table had a QR code asking us to leave a 5 star review. Seemed a little desperate to me.
The waiter was great about bringing drinks out, but he left one of our parties dishes in the kitchen for a long time before bringing it out. He came back to the table twice to bring out people’s sides and napkins and then asked if we needed anything and my friend had to tell him she was still missing her dinner. He was apologetic but it wasn’t great.
He also brought someone in our table the wrong dish, they ordered a chicken finger basket and he brought out a fried chicken basket (like on the bone) and when they brought it up to him, he claimed they didn’t have a chicken finger basket on the menu, but went back to the kitchen and came out with a lukewarm chicken finger basket a few minutes later without explanation. The chicken fingers were bad anyway- would not recommend it. No one at our table really loved their food. I understand it’s a diner, but when they brag endlessly about how well they’re rated it’s hard to reconcile the service and food quality with how those reviews got there.
We also ordered the fried pickles and pretzel bites as appetizers. I would put money on the pretzels just being the frozen pretzel bites from Costco, and the pickles were fine but both appetizers were pretty small. I wouldn’t come here again.

Consistently rated a top diner in Jersey City a reason. Their burger is delicious. Pancakes fluffy. Bacon crispy. This place knows what's up. Strong recommend.

Agree with many of the previous reviewers. The Prestige Diner has gone way down hill. The food is expensive and sub-par at best. They heavy coat all fried items in Italian seasoned bread crumbs so the avacado fries taste like the onion rings which taste like the chicken Milanese. Baked goods were stale.
It’s too bad - it was the place to go for so many of us who grew up in the area. But now you’re better off going to other diners in the area.

Terrible experiences here time and time again. Bad food and bad service. Way better diners in New Jersey, better off driving to other spots
