We had Christmas Eve Eve dinner at The Lake House Restaurant. Our food was excellent! We enjoyed the French Onion Pork Chops, Cheese Stuffed Chicken and a flight of beer. We definitely will be back!!!!!
If you haven’t been to The Lake House yet, GO! My husband and I went last night for our anniversary. It was our first time going and we were thrilled with everything! We were a half hour early for our reservation, so our hosts offered for us to enjoy a cocktail at any of their 3 bars. The hostess gave us a tour, since we said it was our first time there, which we thought was so nice. We chose to go out to the patio bar. It was all enclosed in thick plastic and there were heaters by the bar and gas fire pits in the lower area where the sofas and chairs were. It was so warm, I took my cardigan off and was comfortable in short sleeves. The bartender out there made a great Old Fashioned and they have an extensive list of Bourbons to choose from. It was so cozy there and great ambiance. When it was time for our dinner, we went to the main dining room. It had low lighting, candles at every table, and the tables were not very close to each other, very intimate and romantic! Our server Luke was wonderful and so was our food. Since it was our anniversary, we were offered a free dessert too. We highly recommend The Lake House and can’t wait to go again.
If you sit in the bar area and not at the bar do not expect to get service. Bartender who's job it is to serve the area does not come out from behind the bar.

Food and service were great! However, I'm not a fan of restaurants adding 20% gratuity.( server totally deserved it but I like to tip)
On another note - the owner parked in the Blue lines of the handicap parking with his new BMW which made it impossible to get our wheelchairs in the van without moving it first. He made it apparent that we were an inconvenience to him and his obvious right to block the handicap van blue striped area. Some people just don't care or think about others.
Parking: Owner parks his car in the handicap stripes because he is obviously more important than his patrons ability to get in their cars.

Can't say enough about the atmosphere, sat outside lake side and the end of the day, absolutely stunning view, we were rush though, my wife and I weren't sure if it was the kitchen or the wait staff but either way our diner was extremely rushed, we didn't finish one dish not even 1/2 and our next dish was on the table, less than 1/2 hr. start to finish and had to take most of our dinner home. Hopefully our next experience won't be so rushed, but food quality and atmosphere was impeccable

We don't get to treat ourselves here often, but when we do, The Lake House never disappoints! This trip was extra special given optimal seating, limited patrons & great service. Highly recommend for a special evening out as a pair.
Pictured here: view from seat at dinner during sunset, special soup of the day, crab bisque, steak marsala (substitute risotto in lieu of mashed potatoes) and french onion pork chop.

I have made reservations a handful of times here and overall, the food was fine. Prices were a bit high but that wasn’t a deterrent. Service was fine but was not a deterrent. Reading a review where the “owner” bashes a customer who actually enjoyed the place in prior visits? That will 100% prevent me from returning. There’s no questioning that the place in general is clearly lit so that people look more attractive 3 beers in. I admit, this review won’t change the mind of a clearly smug, arrogant and self indulged “owner” but I guess I’m hoping that they take accountability for THEIR decision to write such a response.

They need to cook their burgers less...I ordered it medium rare(at least pink in the middle) & was told they wouldn't do that...only medium...when served it was dry and well done! Such a shame that a place like this can't cook a simple burger....

Very disappointed from the get go at this place. First off we got seated and it took forever to get even a server. When we did it took even longer to get our drinks. Getting to the appetizers and sides, the soup I got looked like a bird pooped in it with the sheer amount of cheese plopped throughout. The atmosphere was very odd with no music and very dim lighting, but that’s where it gets to the steak. The steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was also much smaller than it was meant to be, I’m not talking smaller because of it being cooked I’m talking about smaller than what was advertised. I could understand it being smaller from cooking if it was actually cooked, the lighting was so dim I couldn’t see how not cooked it was. I noticed immediately after my first bite that it was off but continued to eat considering it was family members birthday and didn’t want to ruin the evening. Continuing to eat I just couldn’t take it anymore and I turn my flash on in horror of what was before my eyes, a completely raw unflavored steak. I told the server and showed the evidence but they just took it away and said nothing. Unacceptable for a restaurant especially at this price point and will not be dining again.

Very disappointed!!! We arrived at 8:15 for an 8:30 reservation. We had reservations for the patio. After some confusion at the hostess stand we were being seated. My wife is visually impaired as I helped her navigate the steps to our table. Once on the patio, the hostess was bringing us to a table on the lowest level. It’s dark and the steps are dimly lit. We asked if we could sit at the open table on the next level. The hostess left us to find out. Upon her return we were told NO as the table was being held for an 8:30 reservation!!! Poor customer service is a huge turnoff we left as there are too many choices of where I can spend my money. In that vein, as my wife and I are foodies, after many years in the food business, we will not be back. You only have one chance to make a good impression.

Been trying to get here, so glad we finally did! Atmosphere is incredible! Beautiful lake view, live entertainment which was not overpowering at the inside table. The brie dip appetizer was scrumptious. Perfect amounts of everything! My lady had a ribeye, which she devoured. Cooked to perfection! I went for the pulled short rib & penne with a side of tater tots. Awesome and delicious! And the servings so huge, I had a take-home meal for the next night to enjoy all over again!. This place is a jewel which will become a regular for us!

The food was as good as many other upper scale dining restaurants in the area but a bit overpriced! Service was fine but there were so many flies in the building that I couldn't eat in peace! I know it's next to a lake but there has to be something they can do to minimize the anoint of flies inside the restaurant! Overall it's a One and Done for me!

Great weekend entertainment. Dan was a great waiter. Second visit was also great. I will say that the tonic/soda gun at the bar was running flat and that is a pet peeve of mine. Joe was an awesome waiter!
