My wife and I found this place while out on a drive. We were looking for food so we decided to give it a try. At first it seemed like nothing special, and the menu was in great need of a reprint. We got hot dogs, a mushroom burger, and fries. After a brief wait the owner (?) brought us our food. When we started eating and were extremely pleased: the food is VERY good. If you are driving to Ocean City or Somers Point, give this place a try. I will definitely be back.
ATTENTION: The Purple Penguin will be closed for the year after Labor Day 2021!This place is gem on the way to the Shore! It is located on the side of the highway on the way to the shore but don't let the location throw you off! In our family, stopping here has become a tradition over the summer as we head to the beach.They have a big menu of ice cream treats and hot food. This place is great. Food is amazing. Great place to stop on the way home from the beach. I recommend the crab cake sandwich and the Penguin Dog, with some cheese fries and a jumbo extra thick shake.
