The service was excellent. Our server was attentive, kind, and professional, which made the experience start on a positive note. The staff clearly cares about hospitality, and that deserves recognition. That said, the orecchiette with broccoli rabe was a complete miss to put it very politely. Instead of a traditional garlic-and-oil preparation, it came smothered in a thick, heavy cream sauce that tasted more appropriate for a bland chicken franchise dish than an Italian classic. It overpowered everything, clashed very badly with the bitterness of the broccoli rabe, and was honestly inedible. I ended up sending it back, which I rarely do. Great service can’t save a dish that misses the mark this badly. With some serious rethinking of this recipe, Roma could do much better, because the front-of-house is doing their part.

A group of friends and I went to eat there this afternoon. We had a couple of dishes, salad, bread, drinks, dessert and coffee. All of the food was exquisite! Compliments to the chefs. The staff and waiter we had were wonderful! I highly recommend this place!

I’m extremely disappointed with the Roma. We had planned to host our high school reunion here and even put down a deposit to reserve the space. Being that our reunion was from North Arlington, we specifically picked this location because we wanted to give back to our community. When our RSVP numbers came in lower than expected, we went back to let them know we no longer needed both rooms. Despite trying to be reasonable and work something out, they were completely unwilling to budge.
They insisted we would still need to meet and pay for their 80-person minimum, even though we clearly weren’t going to have that many guests. This minimum was never discussed when the deposit was made. We went back three separate times to try and resolve the situation and each time, nothing changed. It felt like we weren’t being heard or valued as customers.
Even more frustrating, Charlie, the owner, never once came out to speak with us. We specifically asked to speak with him and left our phone number —but we never got a single call back. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was shocking.
Would not recommend hosting any event here unless you’re ready to deal with inflexibility and poor communication.
We love sitting at the bar and having a great dinner with great service! Friday’s is live entertainment night . The best Expresso martini decaf is called liquid desert. White claw black cherry in a frosty glass. nice comfortable atmosphere. Carol and Brian are the main reason we keep coming back.
Charlie and Jenifer are a caring proud owners that really care. Thanks for a great place to meet some of the nicest people. Johnnie O and Roseanne We love it !!
