This is central NJ. ... The home of stripmalls and the obligate pizza, bagel, and Asian restaurants. I live on Rt. 130: within a mile of my home are four bagel stores. Bagel 1 is the best. Huge bagels, crusty, chewey but soft, great flavor. Huge variety. Great prices. Fast, friendly. Efficient service.

I know things are expensive I was there this weekend for a bacon egg and cheese sandwich with medium coffee. This guy charge me $17 dollars. We’re are we going with this economy. This is not the first time. They just lost a customer.

Customer of 23 years I call to order blueberry french toast and the person on the phone was so unprofessional I was surprised he had the balls to say they didn’t serve that! One of your only pictures on google. Proceeds to carry on as if i’m pranking him or something? The person answering the phone should know the menu at least and given the opportunity customer service training. Next time try “let me check with the chef” instead of embarrassing your family business

The guys here make a wonderful bagel. I look forward to hosting family gatherings where guests stay overnight because I know in the AM, I will be picking up loads of bagels from Bagel 1. Everyone loves them, and those that come from far, take some home with them. They blow the doors off of the spots East Brunswick offers. Worth the extra couple minute ride on a Saturday/Sunday morning. When I go by myself, the breakfast sandwiches are loaded and taste phenomenal. The price to quality ratio can’t be beat around here, and I tried them all multiple times.

Favorite place in the area by farrrrr!!!!! The food is really good. I got breakfast and lunch today, both were very good. I ordered pork roll and cheese on an egg bagel, very good. This is the only place where I say I like the pork roll overcooked and they actually do it for me. Also, Turkey and cheese sub,can't go wrong. Well, you can, but they didn't lol.
