Would not recommended this restaurant. The service was bad and we were discriminated against. We ordered our food @730 and didn’t get it til 830. One of my friends never got her food my other friend never got her all platter. There were people of the same race as all the services that would come in ordered there food and with in 10/15 mins they would have there food. We had to wait 30 mins just for drinks. Our salads came after our entries. The only food that was good was the brisket. I’ve never been to a restaurant where I felt like this. There was a table across from us that they did the same thing too. It’s was an all African American group and our group was mixed with caucasian and African American. Im very disappointed and the manager would not come and speak to us. It’s negative 10 for me.

Overall not bad, but I highly highly recommend the Clifton, NJ branch over this new one. Service was slower, food tasted different, and quantity was much less as well. The atmosphere was nice and updated, but the older branch just has a much different vibe with all aspects combined. Definitely go to Clifton, NJ if you want to eat proper Kanoon and served fast!

Terrible service. They take your order but forget to bring it. They didn’t even let me order dessert and forgot the Arabic coffee I wanted to try. To make it worse, the manager, who was sitting a few tables away from me, received two mugs of coffee. I canceled that item, left, and still paid an 18% tip that was already included in the bill.

What a bad place! What terrible service! I ordered the starters which took a long time to arrive. Initially the waitress got the drinks order wrong and when I spoke she was not friendly at all. Afterwards we were eating the starter and as we ate little we didn't order the main course as it was 3:00 in the afternoon. They didn't like it and started rushing us to leave, as the restaurant was empty. Finally we ordered a coffee which never arrived. At the next table was the snotty manager who, while we were waiting for our coffee, was served two coffees and did absolutely nothing. Finally, they were so quick to deliver the bill and were so disorganized that we still had to wait for the bill to arrive. They charged tips in such a way that I was forced to pay them (18%). The food was good, but it was disappointing. I will never go back to this restaurant where people don't want to work.

I will never come back here. I wanted to ordered some appetizers and drink coffee with my husband in a Saturday afternoon. I don’t know if it was because of it, but employees treated me very bad, all of them very demotivated. I ordered a coffee, waited for more than 20 minutes and did not receive it. At the same time, manager was in a table next to me, he drunk two coffees and I am going to another place to drink my Arabic coffee. I do not recommend this place!

I think I found my new BBQ joint when I don’t want to smoke meats myself! Food was delicious - short ribs were smoked to perfection and the kebabs were on point. Their smoked bulgur wheat was very well cooked. They also serve virgin drinks which looked good but did not partake - I had the Turkish coffee and it was very tasty. The atmosphere was very amenable and the staff were attentive.
The food was amazing and so was the service. We’ll definitely return and encourage family and friends to visit as well. Thank you for the great service
Amazing food and even more amazing service! The brisket was delicious and the lamb was definitely a fan favorite! The manager was so friendly and attentive, we can’t wait to come back!

First of all, the show was cool and appetizers were good. But STAY AWAY from the main courses. Steaks were way overdone. They are usually out of their smoked meat platters. The manager then came over and tried telling us that the steak received was medium when it was clearly overly well done. It was dry in top of it being overcooked. The fact the manager came and started arguing with us was not okay. We were simply telling you the steak was very well done. The manager left the table, went to go see what he could do and then came back and tried to say he checked the camera and it was well done. Yes that’s what we said from the start! So annoyed leaving this place. They also charge tip automatically on the bill. Which normally I don’t mind. But even our sides didn’t come out with our food. It was just a horrible experience overall. Never going back

First off, I was met with by a staff member in a cowboy hat (LOVE!) The booth was so soft and comfy and the table stands are ornate.
I had the short rib and the meat was fall off the bone delicious! It was so tender and the sides were so plentiful and delicious. Each side had something a little different to pair well with the meat; sweet, salty, savory! I also had the shik Karak which was a delicious tea and for dessert, I had a banana crepe drizzled in chocolate. They do have a flair with food and I will definitely be back here!
