Traveling to a new state without any food recommendations can be a challenge. I decided to search for soul food near me, and this restaurant came up. The food was incredible! We ordered an oxtails plate and a shrimp plate, both of which were an easy 10 out of 10. The service was exceptional, and the atmosphere added to the experience. I think the guy sitting in front of us was the owner. His wife and kids were very sweet. I'm already looking forward...
Great food and really generous servings. I loved that the chicken was fall off the bone tender. everything in general was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I spent about $70 for two people but we do usually order a bunch of sides + drinks. I would definitely recommend this to anyone new to soul food. The staff is also very friendly!
Great food. Generous serving size. I love the collard greens, candied yams and Mac N cheese. They do a good job on the fish as well. The Oxtails and rice is also very good. I thought the turkey meatloaf was pretty OK. Not the best but not bad.
