This is one of my favorite local restaurants. We have known one of the owners for years. We go here for fish-n-chips. The other food is great as well, but I'm the kind of guy that goes to specific places for specific things. I rarely change my order. Although, I used to get the ɓeet salad with salmon. I do have to say that for some reason, they have been serving crinkled fries for chips, and that just isn't right. The environment is great. They have a bar that is always full. You can't go wrong here. You'll walk out happy.

They cut the menu in half and got rid of their best dishes. I suppose it was a business move but I’m not feeling it. There’s nothing there for me anymore.

Best fresh seafood and fish you can buy!!! Had king crab legs, scallops little necks and tilapia for New Years Eve. Cooked them myself and they turned out excellent.

We when on Saturday, September 10, 2022. This was the first time we went here. I travel to different place to write a review on new place that I eat at. This was handled as the worst place I have eaten at in a long time. Especially for seafood. How can you mass up fried shrimp and shrimp tacos? But I guess you can. ? very disappointed we spend 45 dollars on tasteless seafood. The food came out in less than 2 mins. Cavichi was even worse and tasted like tomato juice. No lime favor at all and no salt or pepper. And they give you only 3 chips with a large bowl of cavichi. Very unbelievable. I spend that much money on food we didn't even eat. And the selection of drinks was limited and they didn't even have a selection of fresh seafood and they're a fish market. Go figure that out ? lost a custom hands down. Customer service was great. But food takeaways from the customer service just because it was horrible.

Easy stop after work for fresh fish, pre-made choices, or take out. Convenient and fresh! And do try their soups!

Delicious lobster roll with thick cut fries and a drizzle of Old Bay Seasoning (by request) Very fresh cole slaw and looking forward to my next visit for lunch. Side note, I took the food to go and it was wrapped to keep the fries hot and crispy.

The first few yrs it was open it was good but has gone steadily down hill. The fried stuff is over attested and greasy. Got a poke bowl a few months ago and was swimming in the sauce making it inedible. I called to inform them and the owner did not care or offer to remedy. Tried fur last time today. The lobster rolls have always been good. Ordered a cold lobster roll but instead got one that had melted butter and lukewarm. The fresh fish behind the counter looked like it had been lying around. That's it. I am done. I'll drive to the fish store in Plainfield

The staff are very friendly and efficient , never wait long for an order . The soups are fresh every day and the fish N chips remind me of England . No dining in really , only a small cafe space in the N Plainfield shop on Rte 22 , perfect inside and outside for a quick lunch stop . The pasta and oils , and canned sardines they sell are also all imported and delicious , great for a seafood pasta night!

The fish was delicious! Empanadas hard to eat. They are made with cornmeal tortilla bread type and filling was not that great. Great service, and nice atmosphere. Tarter sauce was not my favorite

I had the fried combo, cod, scallop and shrimp. It was near perfectly fried, little oil residue in the bag. Each fish was fresh and done very nicely.

Clean, fresh seafood. Friendly staff and clear menu. Nice presentation overall (you know how some places just pick the right logo font, colors, etc?), nothing fancy but gem of a place.

After my work day, I was craving for some Poke Bowl so we decided to drive and check out Sheeleen’s Fish Market. Poke is pronounced poh-KAY and rhymes with OK. The place was nice and cozy, both indoor and outdoor dining. Of course, we picked outdoor, next to the flowers, basked in the hot sun on a summer day. They had a whole lot of seafood choices! My choice of bowl is the Tuna Poke Bowl - fresh tuna tossed in teriyaki ginger dressing, corn, edamame, cucumbers, seaweed salad, mango, pineapple, carrots, scallions on brown rice. I got my husband the Lobster roll. Since it’s officially Summer, Lobster rolls are the best! A lobster roll consists of chunks of tender, sweet, cooked lobster meat barely napped in a thin coating of mayonnaise, all stuffed into a top-split, white-bread hot dog bun lightly toasted in butter. It can be served warm or cold, however you prefer. Brings a smile to one’s face, indeed! Delicious!

Very disappointed, paid $30 for a lobster roll, got a broken stale bun and soggy flavorless fries.

Our first time at Sheelen's was Saturday evening 4/16/22 when we were passing by on South Ave. in Fanwood. Since it was late, we chose takeout & are very happy with the quality and taste of the battered & fried fish & chips, Po'boy Shrimp sandwich and fried battered zucchini! The battered food is fried until golden & the fish is cooked just right. The portions are a good size, larger than we expected. The Cole Slaw is tasty. The knowledgeable young woman who took our order answered all our questions about the foods. While we waited for the food, she said we were welcome to sample their soups; the 4 large soup kettles are self serve. We tried the Lobster Bisque and the New England Clam Chowder ~ both were excellent. Everything was packaged nicely and they included a container of tartar sauce, of cocktail sauce & packets of the Malt vinegar. The prices are good, considering that it's Seafood. We definitely will be returning here!
