This place is amazing, food is amazing, service is amazing, staff is amazing. They do not get enough credit, this was my 2nd time here and both times were great, big parties should have reservations on hand as it will speed up the waiting time.

Service was amazing, bartender was Alexa. She was super quick, personable, and handled herself extremely professionally and friendly. There was a gentleman that wasn’t treating her very kindly and she handled it with grace. She was hustling the whole time! Great service, food was cooked perfect, and vibe was great. Will continue coming back here to this Texas Roadhouse!

Today, I visited Texas Roadhouse in North Plainfield, New Jersey, and I need to express my concerns about a young lady named Alexa, who was working at the bar. Unfortunately, the customer service was disappointing, to say the least. Alexa's demeanor came across as standoffish and curt, completely lacking the hospitality one would expect. She didn’t even begin with a simple greeting or ask if I would like a glass of water.
When I placed a dine-in order, she barely checked back to see if I needed anything else. I had to actively get her attention to place a second order for takeout. Upon my request to speak with a supervisor, he was apologetic and offered me the opportunity to address the matter with a manager. However, this attempt proved unproductive. While the manager mentioned he would speak with Alexa, it was clear he was overwhelmed and struggling to handle the situation effectively.
It’s disheartening to note how often such incidents occur, particularly among younger employees, whose behavior can sometimes come across as rude or disrespectful. What’s even harder to ignore is the undeniable impact that the color of your skin can have on these interactions. This highlights the urgent need to prioritize customer service workshops and seminars. Such initiatives could help educate employees on how to engage with customers more effectively and handle the diverse challenges of today’s world.
Being a paying customer doesn’t entitle anyone to mistreat employees, but it does mean we should be treated with courtesy, respect, and dignity. I can only hope that Alexa does not treat her coworkers the same way she treated customers during my visit. As I see it, "If your job leads you to become judgmental to the point of being disrespectful to others, perhaps it’s time to reconsider your role in the customer service industry."

Is it one of the best stake houses, the strawberry margarita is spectacular. And the food is pretty well. The best is that the check is not bad. Isn't expensive.

Great service ! The staff was so friendly
Always great service and great food here!
Very tight fitting. Staff was very good. Food was good but the cheese twists had no cheese in them. There was a hair in the onion, which wasn't ours but they took care of it.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's small inside. I wouldn't recommend going with a wheel chair

We drove 50 minutes to this place and were told to wait 40-50 minutes when we arrived at 6:10 PM. However, the actual wait time ended up being 65 minutes, and we didn’t get our food until 8:15 PM. You could say it’s because the place is popular, but the environment was awful for anyone just looking to relax and enjoy a meal without constant disruptions.
The restaurant was filled with sharp, frequent noises and excessive yelling, making it unbearable. I developed a migraine and felt so uncomfortable that I had to leave before our food even arrived, leaving my boyfriend to stay behind, pay, and get it packed to go. I then waited another 30 minutes in the car for the takeout.
During that time, we politely asked a waitress if she could remind guests to keep the noise down a little. After all, even if it’s a birthday celebration, there’s no need to be screaming 5-10 times per minute. It showed a complete lack of consideration for noise-sensitive customers—I could see others looking annoyed as well.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. My friends and I won’t be coming back, even if the bread was good. Hours of waiting, no real dining experience, and leaving hungry with a pounding headache? No thanks.
To top it off, there wasn’t even a napkin or fork in the takeout bag, so we had no way to eat in the car. We drove another 50 minutes home and finally ate dry, cold beef at 10:00 PM. Fantastic.
Thanks for ensuring we never revisit. Best of luck.
