I’ve been coming to north wildwood for many summers and have been here numerous times. The food is always good, breakfast and lunch/dinner and the drinks are great and I overall love the look of the bar and the atmosphere itself. However, I do have a few things to get off my chest. Sometimes I feel like the hostesses are extremely rude, they don’t seem sorry when you have to wait and they aren’t very friendly. The other day I walked in and waited and she looked at me blankly then asked very rudely “can I help you?” Like obviously I was waiting for a table! Another thing, if I’m spending that much money to go out to eat and drink down the shore, please do not sit me at that little kids-looking table by the t shirts. I do not want to be lower to the ground than everyone else in high tops with the retail touching the back of my head while I eat. Please just get rid of that table or save it for a family who wants their children there. And coming to north wildwood year round I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. Overall, I’ve had many servers and the bartenders give excellent service and I do enjoy eating and drinking here but sometimes I wish the staff could be a bit nicer.

We came down for the weekend, as our family owns a home in the crest, for the 12 pubs of Christmas. The event ran from 2-10pm & we followed the Jitney Path up to this establishment around 9pm where a person dressed as a grinch costume berated us for even showing up, as if we’d know last call at a dive bar was 9pm.
He proceeded to harass our entire group & call us names. He also told us he was a police officer in wildwood; so we will also be taking this as far as it can go. It was completely out of line & uncalled for. We were a group of 6; mothers & fathers who tipped handsomely & were completely respectful the entire journey. Every other bar was a pleasure. We didn’t deserve to be treated that way. We will never step foot in that establishment & we intend to tell everyone we know. Cheers! 🍻

The crushers were very refreshing after a warm day and the ‘U peel shrimp’ were EXCELLENT (a half pound is plenty for two people). The crab cakes were also delicious and decent portions. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

Since when is it normal for a restaurant to stop seating customers for dinner an hour and 15 minutes before closing? Well, it happened to us (again) at the Surfing Pig. On a busy Friday in December, during the Christmas season, my wife and I arrived at 8:15 PM. And just like a few years ago during the summer, we were refused seating despite the Surfing Pig's published closing time of 9:30 pm. I'll tell you what else we didn't do. We didn't purchase a few hundred dollars worth of gift cards for our adult children as we had originally intended.
It's not like a party of 8 showed up 15 minutes before closing. We were a party of 2 (seniors), tables were available and the restaurant was open for another 75 minutes. How long do they think it takes to eat a brisket sandwich and have a drink or two?
Also, the woman acting as hostess was quite dismissive and unwelcoming, so much so that we will not be returning any time soon, if at all. IMO, she belongs in the back of the restaurant. There are way too many fine and welcoming establishments on the island to put up with nonsense like this.

I had no problems and the pulled pork is half price on Saturday! It was a little busy, but it is a bar after all! Food was out in 5 minutes... Decent overall experience. I go to jester's quite often.

Karen the Hostess is horrible.. 10 minute wait turns into 45, plenty of other places to eat!! Never again!! 3rd time same outcome!!
No blue moon beer and asked for a amaretto martini I was told they were out of Amaretto. 10/31/2024.I now have to go to a bar where they have Amaretto. That’s the last time I will go there.
