Had reservations for 4 on a Saturday night. Arrived on time and were seated promptly. Staff was good and food was also.
APPETIZERS Octopus OUTSTANDING! Caesar Salad YUMMY! Cream of mushroom soup GOOD Capreses salad just ok. Needed better tomatoes ENTREES Stuffed pork chop DELICIOUS Veal francaise VERY GOOD Lobster ravioli blush sauce disappointing. Needed more cream DESSERTS salted caramel gelato DELICIOUS, a little icey Pistachio gelato YUMMY Cannoli trio very good but cream was a bit too sugary Crème brûlée very good. An addition of vanilla bean would have put it over the top. SERVICE Saul was OUTSTANDING!
Was very loud when we arrived but then it got quieter when large rowdy table got their food. Veal Saltimbocca had a bit too much sage but otherwise very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals.
Due to a private party in the larger dining area, regular diners were put in one smaller space which meant closer tables and the noise level to be extreme. Our waiter was very good and the food was delicious.
Our party of 6 chose to dine outside. It was a perfect late Summer evening. Our server was very attentive and very good. All our menu selections were ready in a timely matter without delays. The food was very good. I would definitely recommend and look forward to going back again.
I wanted to share my recent dining experience at your restaurant, which, unfortunately, fell short of my expectations. To start, the appetizers we ordered were not up to par; specifically, the Burrata I received was very dry. I then ordered the special of the day, which was a lobster ravioli. While I understand that the dish is meant to have a seafood flavor, it tasted excessively fishy, suggesting that the lobster might not have been fresh. When the waiter inquired why I hadn't eaten it, I explained my concern about its fishiness. Surprisingly, the waiter simply asked if I wanted to pack the dish without offering any further assistance or attempting to rectify the situation. This response left me quite perplexed. Overall, I was not satisfied with my visit and have decided not to return. I believe that customer feedback is essential for any business, and I hope you will take my comments into consideration to improve future experiences for other patrons. Thank you for your understanding.
Great experience with respect to being able to prepare gluten free meal. The chef came to the table and talked about how he could modify the dishes to create something that would be gluten free. Very grateful.
The restaurant was inviting & attractive. The service was excellent! They were friendly & attentive! The food was well prepared & delicious! It was an enjoyable, relaxing experience!
Our waiter was extremely attentive, menu offered good diversity, service & timing of meal was excellent. Everyone found their food delicious
Staff a little rusty on beverage service especially ID(ing) fine wine and how to open it. Any seafood dish you choose is exceptional and abundant. Hostess staff very accommodating to all guests.

Brought family to celebrate a 50th anniversary. All 6 meals were perfect, especially loved the Branzino and the homemade mushroom ravioli. The service is always excellent.
We have eaten at La Cucina several times and it has always been a great experience. The food and the service is excellent. It is a bit noisy inside on a weekend night but still enjoyable. The Risotto Di Mare was outstanding and my husband loved the Vitello Pizzaiola.
Food was good, appetizers portions were small. When we mentioned it to the server, he said other people had the same experience, but nothing he could do. The restaurant was loud, but not unbearable. Tables were nicely spaced out so didn't feel crowded. Server was nice and attentive but dismissive of our issue with the appetizer. We appreciated the chef checking on our experience, and like that it is BYOB. We will definitely go back
We have dined here many times and always loved it. Not sure if they changed chefs, purveyors or both....hoping this was a one time thing ...but food was not good at all. Was looking forward to delicious red sauce...tasted like right out of can tomato paste and ketchup...who knows? Meatballs were terrible. Did not eat...strange spices and very hard. Veal Pizzaiola was terrible. Hard square chewy gristly pieces not sautéed in bread crumbs or whatever...just bad......not the typical prep...no mozzarella cheese....could not eat it.... and the same excuse for red sauce as the meatballs. A few stringy artichokes. Caprese salad app was ok but not a good quality of Buffalo Mozarella. Not the great tomatoes you expect in NJ at this time of year either. Really, get a good Italian chef or why even stay open?! So disappointed.
Excellent service and good. A bit noisy for someone with moderate hearing loss. Will definitely return in the future.
