Ventura’s has been our favorite restaurant for years!! We visited tonight and everyone commented on how it has gone downhill. I have always been obsessed with the Caesar salad and unfortunately it was sub par. The clams casino were inedible. I am so sad about this. Spoke to friends afterwards and they said they had a similar experience and agreed that something has changed. So so sad!!

Had dinner here with family on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was very busy, and so loud that conversation was difficult. The food was just average, and the service poor. Our waiter forgot to bring a soup before the entrees, and messed up another entree entirely. The replacement corrected entree wasn’t prepared according to the description on the menu and lacked several items. Overall an unsatisfying experience.

Solid local spot about 10 min from the beach. We had a dinner and a sandwich and a salad. All were good. Waitress was a bit ornery but it was ok. Large bar area and liquor store. Festive reasonably priced place near the jersey shore

Haven't been there in a while. Food was average at best. Everything else looks the same. They had a decent crowd in the restaurant. There is plenty of parking on site. I'll be back to try it again.

We had a family group and they were very accommodating. For most of us, it was out first time dining here. Waiter was quick and polite. Food was outstanding. Prices very reasonable. Environment was loud and difficult to talk and be heard even across the table.

Absolutely loved our dinner here! The service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. I ordered the salmon, and it was fantastic—perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great spot for a casual night out or a relaxed date night. Plus, parking was a breeze, which is always a bonus. Highly recommend!
Absolutely phenomenal food — the Italian/fusion options were creative, bold, and delicious. The short rib grilled cheese in particular was a standout: rich, flavorful, and absolutely to die for. Portions were generous, and the cocktails didn’t hold back — strong, well-made, and flowing.
That said, service was a letdown. Our table was soaking wet when we were seated, despite the restaurant being half full at best. And once we were seated, the server was rarely seen, which made it tough to fully enjoy an otherwise stellar meal.
Overall, the kitchen and bar delivered in a big way, but the front-of-house needs to catch up. I’d still strongly recommend it — just go in with a little patience.

We have come here several times. We are Never disappointed here. Whenever anyone comes to town, this is one of the places we always take them. I don't think we have ever gotten a single plate we didn't like. Every time we go, we get the Peach Cobbler to share. SO good. The Only reason we didn't give it 5 stars, it can get Very Loud when they are busy, depending on where they sit you. In one of the side rooms is very nice, even at their busiest. 100% Recommend

The food was good as usual. Does not appear to be suffering from shrinkage of portions like a lot of places recently. We had Eggplant Parm and their Endalada portofino. Both were good. Server was a little lax and they may have been having some kitchen help issues. Bread came out partially warmed and the butter oats were very solid. Dinners came out OK. We ordered desert and it took about 15 minutes for it to arrive. Luckily the runner noticed our empty coffee cups and refilled them.

This is my go to place .Always good . I went with a friend and recomended the red ,white and green pizza . The pizza was always very tasty. This time it had no taste. The spinach was not seasoned with the oil and garlic like it always was . Very disappointed, this was my favorite pizza . I mention it to the waiter , he said they don't season the spinach anymore. This is what made the pizza so tasty. They ruined the pizza . I won't be ordering this pizza anymore.
