This is the first time I've written a review. And I'm doing it only because the food, service and presentation were exceptional. 17 of us gathered for a family event. We had a dozen plus different dishes (some repeats/multiple orders). Every dish was exceptional. Literally every one. Bursting with rich flavors and great portions. Snails, scallops, salads, onion soup, chicken, pasta, filet of beef, potatoes, vegetables. Six different wonderful desserts, including soufflés. Terrific French cooking. Appetizers, salads, entrees, sides and desserts. Not an ordinary dish among them. One more thing. Unlike so many restaurants today where you can't hear yourself think much less talk to others, this restaurant has been designed to allow patrons to easily communicate with each other, even in a crowded dining room.

we started with onion soup and mushroom napoleon. My wife had the fillet mignon and the bouillabaisse for myself. we split a tarte tartan with ice cream with coffee for dessert. we enjoyed all the dishes. the ambiance was comfortable and classy. the service was both friendly and professional

There's an overwhelmingly musky "old" like smell as you enter the dining area. It's almost suffocating. The brunch menu was not bad, but they're not as flavorful or even appealing for a "French" restaurant. Their most popular chocolate souffle was tastless. I'm not sure why it was featured. The service, however, is top tier. The busy dining area is only serviced by 2 staff... it was incredibly impressive. You can tell they've been doing this for a while & loved it. Would we go back? Maybe.

Food wasn't that great (mediocre), which is very pricey for a small portion. I actually had to eat more when I got home. The atmosphere was nice. My wife and I were able to enjoy a nice quiet evening.

Lovely atmosphere with attentive staff and delicious food - highly recommend! Would come back for special occasions! Had the spinach salad - super fresh with delicious blue cheese, tomato, and pear. Had the Bouillabaisse (one of today's daily special) - a must have for seafood lovers! It's full of clams, mussels, shrimps, scallops, and fish in a fragrant broth. Also tried the steak, which was cooked perfectly to medium. Ended the night with a chocolate soufflé. Note that it has to be ordered at the start of the meal. The staff cuts and serves it with a sauce on the side.

Very nice food and preparations. The chicken was well prepared and well portioned. However, the opera cake dessert felt comically small. Usually, I'd expect a larger, taller thick slice of cake, but we received 3 thin, short slices... An inch or so tall, 3 inches long, 1/2 inch wide each .. I.e. really small and disappointing end to the meal. This dessert cost over $10, maybe $14?I did like the ambiance and main dish though.

It was wonderful to share Christmas Eve with friends at Madeleine’s! It was our first time there and Francois made us feel welcome as if we were old friends. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, not intrusive and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Even the other diners were friendly, I took a selfie with another diner, no strangers here, only friends you haven’t met. We all loved it.

Excellent food and service, place is a bit dated but it adds to the charm, original owners retired so miss the occasional singing from Madeleine during dinner but if that's the only complaint then they are still doing great

Madeleine's Petit Paris never disappoints!! Such a lovely evening celebrating our 52nd anniversary. Our favorite place. Enjoyed the excellence of appetizers to start: Wild Mushroom Napoleon and Crab Cake Louisiana, the Baby Spinach Salad with poached pears is a favorite and we both thoroughly enjoyed the Pork Medallions Normand! Absolutely delicious! Since we didn't have room for dessert, Francois surprised us with "just enough" sweet of chocolate mousse & whipped cream with berries, a candle to make a wish on, 2 spoons and the "Happy Anniversary" song! PERFECTION from beginning to end. Thank you for a lovely evening.
