The presentation of each dish looked amazing. The flavors matched the beautiful presentation.

Almost not at all likely!

The food was amazing giving it a star! We ordered lots of appetizers and a variety of different entrées for our party of 10 celebrating a birthday that night, and everyone was happy with the food. The atmosphere and interior were also great giving it another star!

However, the service was absolutely terrible.

From the beginning, the table wasn’t ready for about 15 minutes. It then took about 30 minutes for someone to take our appetizer order. The appetizers were brought out with 5–10 minute gaps between each plate. The sides arrived long after the entrées, so the main dishes got a little cold by the time the sides were served.

Honestly, I could have overlooked all of that. We were happy to see each other, busy talking, and enjoying the night. But the worst part—the thing that truly made the experience unpleasant—was our server. She was very unpleasant, unprofessional, and even rude. She seemed unhappy to be there, had a fake smile, responded to most questions with attitude, and rarely even made eye contact.

The food and atmosphere are truly top-level, but unfortunately the entire experience was ruined by the kind of service we received. None of my guests were happy with her—everyone had something negative to say. She simply didn’t fit the level of such a nice place, and her attitude and unprofessional behavior continued throughout the night.

I understand that a 20% gratuity was already included, and it seemed like she simply didn’t care. However, people are willing to tip more for great and friendly service.

I had also brought party favors for my guests and usually bring a few extra for the restaurant staff. This was the first time I felt that I didn’t want to give one to the server because I felt she wouldn’t appreciate that small gesture of kindness.

I brought my family here at 4:30 today and they kicked us out saying we needed reservation yet nobody is at the place.

Took my sister for her bday. We were sat pretty quickly. Waiter was courteous but seems like he was having an off day. Didn’t come too often to check on us. Someone else came by and asked how we were but just the question almost forced and not genuine. I said fine although my plate was full and I did not look happy. The trio sampler was mid but the pita was really good. We asked for extra and never got it. We asked for it 3X and never came. The lamb meatballs were dry, the shrimp in filo wrapping was great! The stuffed lobster was also mid. The chicken was as juicy but flavorless. It took long for him to come by for the dessert menu. The table next to us had a chocolate cake that looked divine but hadn’t really been touched. I asked how it was and they said “total disappointment since it’s got no flavor!” They offered me to taste it and I did and it tasted like a home made brownie gone wrong. I ordered something else which was good with custard filling. I brought a cake for the dinner which I got up and personally spoke to 2 different people since I couldn’t find my waiter and they all said they would handle it. They did not. I had to finally speak to the waiter infront of the bday girl and he had no idea what was happening. Made the surprise a bit dull. Seems like this place is a hit or miss at times. The actual venue is amazing and looks so beautiful. Your pics will be great and that’s what it’s all about the memories.

Homemade pita, a unique cocktail list, and beautiful dishes from Executive Chef Giuseppe Agostino — it’s easy to see why this was named Best New North Jersey Restaurant for 2025.

The space is absolutely stunning. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve been transported to Greece — right here in North Jersey. I love that they offer different dining rooms, each with its own vibe. You really have to explore them all.

They also have belly dancing on Fridays and Saturdays, live music every Wednesday, live Greek music every Thursday, and free valet parking on Fridays and Saturdays — which makes the whole experience feel like a true night out.

Now the food… 10/10.

The homemade pita was simple but exceptional — soft, warm, and on a level you rarely find. The lobster was outstanding; perfectly prepared with tender, flavorful pieces. And the lamb chops were cooked to perfection.

We ordered:
• Horiatiki (cucumber, tomato, feta)
• Octopus with prasorizo and garlic yogurt
• Shrimp Kataifi with phyllo, zhoug, and honey
• Lobster Yiouvetsi with orzo and kefalograviera
• Lamb Chops (Rocky Mountain lamb, EVOO, oregano, market cauliflower)
• Moussaka with beef ragu, eggplant, and kefalograviera béchamel

Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The cocktail list is impressive, but the food truly steals the show. Definitely a must-visit.

We ate at Mykos on Sunday and were blown away by the food. Every dish was excellent — the octopus was perfectly tender and flavorful, the feta with pita was simple but outstanding, the lamb burger was juicy and well-seasoned, and both the swordfish skewers and branzino were fresh and cooked beautifully. Truly some of the best Mediterranean food we’ve had.

The rest of the staff were warm and attentive, and the overall atmosphere made for a great dining experience.

The only minor drawback was that our waitress tended to address and engage primarily with my wife while largely overlooking me at the table. It didn’t ruin the evening, but it was noticeable.

That said, the incredible food and the friendliness of the rest of the team easily make this a five-star experience. We’ll definitely be back.

We hosted my engagement party at Mykos in Northvale, and I’m still thinking about the food two weeks later — which feels like the clearest sign this place did something right.

The appetizers alone could have carried the entire night. There were these zucchini/eggplant chips that just kept coming… until they didn’t, because everyone demolished them. I watched full-grown adults hover near the tray like it might magically refill. The spanakopita? I genuinely don’t have words. Just 👌🏻. Perfectly crisp, warm, and gone far too quickly.

Then there’s the pita. I don’t know where it’s from, but I’m confident it’s not from this planet. Eating it felt like being dropped into Santorini and told to live your best life. At this point, I hadn’t even touched a main course yet.

Here’s where Mykos really flexes: it’s a Greek restaurant that somehow offers better steak options than some steakhouses. Yes, please. And the chicken — listen, chicken is usually just chicken. Not here. They are clearly guarding some kind of ancient secret because I’ve never had chicken taste like that. For crying out loud, it’s chicken.

The lamb chops, which were personally delivered to me during the party (a moment I will never forget), literally melted in my mouth.

I already can’t wait to go back and order the Osaka. If you know, you know.

An incredible night, incredible food, and an easy 5 stars.
