Why is this LGBTQ+ friendly? They cannot have children, only recruit. This place should not encourage predation

Great Grandma, Grandma, mom, and kiddies all had a great time tonight at Fairy Tale Forest! We met Santa, Mrs. Claus, Rudolph, and Frosty. Lots of photo ops, snacks, and activities. Best for kids age 2-6, and all “kids at heart” adults. Bring the family for some sweet Christmas fun.

I drove by this place many times for a year and always wondered what this strange theme park was until we finally visited on a Sunday in mid October during fall foliage which was beautiful. I thought it would be empty and old but this place is like a little gem beyond my expectations. First you walked thru the entrance where the kitchen and ticket cashier is. We paid there with a very nice lady. All the staff we met that day were very nice, working hard and happy! I love a place where you could feel the magic because the people who worked there put their hearts into it. The food was decent and the ice cream was actually very good. The puppet show was so whimsically entertaining and awesome. My kids loved it and were not scared. Every house has stories inside(you can ring the bell and things will happen), dolls, sculpture in there to tell you all your childhood memories of the fairy tale. They are so cute and well done with renovations. OH! The bathrooms are CLEAN(important)! There is a witch area where a nice witch tells you stories. There is a pumpkin painting area where kids had so much fun painting pumpkins (extra fees for pumpkins) and parachute and other kids activities. I am in awe and so impressed that this place is very well organized and managed. We ended up spending 3 hours there. It's the perfect size for big and small kids to run around. The fact that there is only one entry which is also an exit makes this place kids friendly because kids can't get out without opening the kitchen/entry door! So, I felt it was safe for my little one to wander around. All in all we had a blast! Highly recommended!

When I was little I would visit my aunt who lived in Lake Hopatcong (I am now 57 yrs old) She would always take me to Fairy Tale Forest and I just absolutely loved it! So many happy memories ❤️

Can’t even begin to describe how enchanting our visit to fairytale forest was! A place where childhood stories such as Pinocchio, The Three Little Pigs, and Little Red Riding Hood come to life in the most whimsical way 🤗🐷🐻🐺🍂🍁✨

Once upon a time...
Vander Ploeg’s grandfather, German immigrant Paul Woehle, his two sons and some local tradesmen spent four years crafting the park’s structures and sculptures prior to its 1957 opening.

I’m so happy that this one of a kind family attraction (built in the 1950s), forced to close in the early 2000s for 20 years has been reborn.

Thank you to the members of the founding family who continue to bring magic, creativity, and stories in #newjersey

This park is for children of ALL ages and adults too so get ready to nurture your inner child when you come visit. It is a MUST! The food here is absolutely delicious too. Looking forward to visiting traditionally to create more magical memories with my family and friends 🥰🤗🧚🏽🐲🎭🌳✨

Nice place. Different. Fun to walk around for 45mins to hour unless eating at the snack bar. $20/adult $17/kids 3-17. $74.00+ for family of 4 for an hour. Its pricey imo. Should be at least half that unless they have a show. I live in area and to walk around for an hour in a nice fairy tale forest isnt worth for my family to revisit more than once. They will have shows for the holidays I hear but if they dont we prob wont go back. Need cheaper prices for locals to come visit more often and spend money on food if you want to eat there. Very unique place and you have to visit at least once. Yes we did enjoy ourselves there but not for the price.

Nothing to do no where to walk owner is rude wastage of money and time they charge us 60$ for nothing they won’t even let us take our water

First, it is outrageously priced for what it is. My kids enjoyed it, but $78 for a family of 4 doesn’t come close to the value I’d put on it. I would not recommend visiting unless you have extra cash to blow.

Second, the prices on their website don’t even reflect what they actually charge you at the door. It says $18/adult and $16/child for Fridays, which is when we went. When we got there, they told me the prices are $20/adult and $17/child. I showed the woman the website and she said those were the soft opening prices and they haven’t updated the site.

They had some pumpkin painting situation going on under a tent in the center of the park. Throughout our entire walk, the smell of SPRAY PAINT was blowing through the beautiful fall breeze. I could not believe they thought spray paint was an appropriate method to use for pumpkin painting at a children’s attraction park. Am I the only one who thinks toxic fumes should be kept far from children? It was inescapable and I was not happy to have paid $78 for my infant and small children to inhale paint fumes the entire time.

They’ve done a nice job renovating the place but I won’t be back.

I just spent a wonderful afternoon outdoors at a magical place- Fairy Tale Forest in Oak Ridge, NJ. It was like taking a trip down memory lane. Classic fairytales are brought to life by exquisitely dressed animated characters and delightful music tells the stories. It’s a quiet , peaceful place with beautiful landscaping. An added bonus is the cafe. Try the roasted beet hummus !

Very nice place for kids and family

What I don't like is some characters look creepy and a little scary for smaller chiñdren.

Need a deep clean and aromatic treatment lysol, fabric or something because the smell of items being old is noticeable.

A Step into a Storybook World
Fairy Tale Forest is a magical wonderland that transported me back to my childhood. Every corner was filled with enchanting details and whimsical creatures. The life-sized fairy tale characters were incredibly realistic, and the pathways were designed to spark imagination.

My children were absolutely captivated. They spent hours exploring the forest, interacting with the friendly characters, and feeling like they were part of their favorite stories. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene, making it the perfect place for a family outing.

I highly recommend Fairy Tale Forest to anyone looking for a truly magical experience. It's a must-visit for families with young children.

Beautifully restored!! I am 66 and loved it!! My grandchildren loved it so much. It was a great day. I brought my grown children as well for they too had been to the park when they were young. Can’t say enough about it, so well preserved and presented. Thank you for bringing it back to life. I wish the Gingerbread Castle in Hamburg NJ had the same fate, it’s now in ruins.
