This was a disappointing meal with my wife and son, and it was not our first visit. I had the Seafood Milan, the shrimp and scallops were undercooked, and my wifes veal was not good at all. My son had a personal pizza. We have eaten here about 4-5 times, and what I have experienced is inconsistency with the food. What I can say is the pasta dishes are good, especially chicken parmasean.

Our pizza adventures continue and we found ourselves at the Anchor Inn a few nights ago. The place was full of families and friends enjoying a varied menu. We came for pizza but ended up ordering an appetizer and salad. Everything was very good! Service was fast and attentive. There’s an accessible entrance. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot. The place is probably a madhouse in the summer, but we had no trouble getting a table.

An absolute hidden gem ? ✨️ you will not be disappointed with anything they have on the menu. Very casual, busy, and welcoming. They do not take reservations or seat you without the entire party present. Be prepared for a wait, but well worth it ?

They make the best Long Island iced tea and their prices are fantastic. I had the boil seafood platter, and I normally don't order that but I was at a party with friends and I did order it and it was fantastic.

I went there yesterday w/a friend he was already there & I came in took bartender almost 10 minutes before she came over & asked what I'd like to drink ?! FYI was sitting @ bar less than 1/4 filled w/patrons , as I asked 4 Coors Light , I was sitting in front of beer station, she proceeded to just top off a beer that was sitting there for how long @ station ??? When I questioned her Why Would U Do That ??? She stated I poured 4 guy over there & he didn't want anymore?????!!!! What Bar Tender Would Do That ?!?! Then we ordered clams on 1/2 shell 4me & my friend shrimp in garlic butter which ate both simple appetizers took over 20 minutes till we received them ?!?! They were good but SERVICE STUNK ... took bartender another 20 minutes come back ask if I want my 2nd drink & never checked on our food service!!?! Will NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!!! Yet I did years ago & so did my family when they had salad bar years ago !!! ...
Stopped here for Lunch with Kit Dwight, this past Sunday...Last night I had watched a 6 year's old YouTube video that had been posted by Johnny Cthepizzaguy during one of his earlier Pizza reviews.Grateful for his recommendation and very pleased with the food we had chosen.Kit Dwight had chose the Crab Cakes with Baked Potato and a side Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing.I chose the Bar Pie with Sausage, Peppers and Onion's with a side of Onion Rings...They were out of the Onion Rings, so I replaced them with the side Salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing and a order of Garlic Bread with Cheese...The ? Pizza was delicious, fresh toppings, sauce was out of this world and the crust was crispy and charred to my liking...Next trip will be for the Delmonico Steak ?!!!

Just a great, local restaurant. Get in a bit early on the weekends. Prices fair, always had good service, plenty of options. The atmosphere hasn't changed in decades but that is part of the charm.
