I had called to try to just order two plain slices to go, and was told by whoever I spoke to on the phone with a nasty tone that, “I don’t have time to set aside two slices for you.” Very poor customer service on their end, and will not plan on even bothering to try this place ever again if this how they talk to customers on the phone.

December 6, 2024, is when I am writing this review but I have been going to Rizzo's for decades. The pizza is good, and if the tall guy is cooking then the pizza is excellent for MY tastes. By excellent, I mean the crust is relatively thin, airy, and stiff, so I can eat without the slice flopping over. I no longer work in the area so I don't get here as often as I used to. I stopped by in November, 2024, got my two slices plain, and decided I should finally write a review. I always eat in because I don't live nearby. The shop itself is functional and clean. The atmosphere is adequate for eating in, and one wall includes a mug shot of Frank Sinatra from when he was arrested many years ago. I assume most of their business is takeout because I know a lot of people who get their pizza at home. In any case, I highly recommend Rizzo's Pizza, and I suggest that you eat in so the pizza is piping hot when you are stuffing your face!

I've been eating at Rizzo's since I moved to Ocean Township in the late 90's. For 28 years, when I walk in, I always see the same familiar faces and get the same awesome food. I live 300 miles away now, but whenever I am back in NJ, I can't wait for my first taste of home! They very kindly let me taste their fresh out of the oven bread tonight and I it was to die for. Thanks Rizzos ... I'll see you at Christmas :)

The pizza was delicious and amazing! But the service upon walking in was very uncomfortable so I decided to leave and wait outside. I came in with family we were not greeted but stared at with a look of almost disgust that we were in there , whereas there were only two other people there already sitting eating .i just moved to ocean township and I’m trying new places around and this was just disappointing from the vibes we got from here when we went next door to the bagel place we were greated and welcomed I think you guys should take notes from your neighbors on the customer service aspect.
