I always enjoy the sunset diner ever since I use to go out with the leauge after bowling and recently when I had my big sister in jersey for a weekend I took her there after bowling we had lunch together this place brings people and family together with excellent service and great food

Great little diner with very friendly staff and all the classics you'd expect from a good Jersey diner. Small quibble points: No croutons with the delicious split pea soup (saltines?!?) and sub-par coleslaw. Petty? Yes. But we're talking Jersey diners so standards are incredibly high. That said - Definitely a great diner.

As a first time New Jersey diner experiencer there was a certain hype behind this experience and I couldn't be sure what exactly to expect. I loved the boisterous servers. The coffee was strong and good, and the pancakes were some of the best I've had. I must admit the menu is nauseating with the amount of choices barely organized, and hardly anything without meat. My biggest complaint is that it was much too warm in the diner

Classic Jersey diner in all the best ways! Friendly service, incredible pancakes, and truly fantastic breakfast potatoes. The ultimate comfort food experience awaits you at Sunset Diner. My only critique is that it was very hot inside, and the heat took away from the overall experience.
