We just finished our dinner here at Tandoor India Restaurant… and it was delicious. I had the ChickenTikka Masala and my buddy had Chicken Vindaloo. Another friend had a vegetarian Spinach/Cheese dish but I didn’t try that. I’m allergic to vegetarian dishes.
Both the freshly made chicken dishes were flavorful and tasty. The garlic naan was outstanding.
Don’t let the lack of cars in the parking lot fool you, it might be empty inside but it’s bursting with flavor.
The owner is very friendly and welcoming.
Will eat here again next time I’m in town.

Visited this hidden treasure for the first time tonight. It certainly doesn’t stand out from the road, but once the food hits your palate it’ll leave an impression. We began tonight with warm chai enriched with cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger. The sag paneer was fantastic and they don’t skimp on the breads or rice. While it might not give the most modern vibe, the food is truly cooked from the heart. It felt like mum was making it. It’s understandable why it’s been around for 33 years. The owner was a wonderful host. Would go back again. My Indian husband agrees.

My wife and I frequent this restaurant as often as possible. The Owner always greets us and is super friendly. The food is fresh, delicious, and affordable especially for the generous portions and quality. They have been around for a long time and it shows why. Hard to beat a fresh Masala Dosa. Definitely worth the trip up from Asbury!

Very friendly staff. I am vegetarian and they have loads of options. I highly recommend the tandoori roti, shahi paneer, saag (spinach) paneer, and paneer pakora. Give this restaurant a try when you want tasty north indian food.

Restaurantji Recommends
Chicken Tikka - bland, more tomato-based than actually seasoned with garam masala. Chicken cubes should have been charred more before combining with sauce. Overall for $21 definitely skip this item. Do not buy for takeout. This was a rip off.
Garlic Naan - what a joke. Softer than crunchy, and it had smeared garlic paste on it instead of ACTUAL garlic pieces. You should add minced garlic right into the dough, NOT SMEAR garlic paste which is BITTER. And there is no cilantro. For $4 a piece, this is a rip off.
Chicken Biriyani - Was bland. No spices or seasoning stood out, the chicken was bland, and should have been cooked before combining with the rice. Large onion pieces, ruins this dish, they needed to be thinner and more browned. Normally biriyani should be accompanies by an egg. None was included, so this was just bland chicken and bland rice.
Basmati Rice - I don't know how they screwed this up. All you needed was a rice cooker, some cumin seeds, salt and pepper, and a little bit of butter. But they used some cinnamon spice and no Star anise.
Overall, I am pretty upset about almost spending $60 on this order, since it should have been a lot better in terms of flavor and overall taste.
I know what good Indian food should taste like, and this IS NOT IT.

I’ve been getting takeout from here for years and it’s consistently delicious. I highly recommend the paneer makhani and the lamb roganjosh!
