I've lived in NJ for 32 yrs and eating at Zanos in Waretown brought me back to SI/Bklyn 70's & 80's like yesterday! The hospitality, the service, the food...unbelievable! The Sfogliatellas from Zanos are to die for. I had those in Naples, but they were bite-size and they were phenomenal!! Zanos arevery close to those!! 5 Star!

Excellent Italian food. Very authentic. The service was a bit slow but it was busy and they did the best they could under the circumstance. The server was very pleasant. It has a very pleasant comfortable atmosphere. The owner is very nice.

We ordered for christmas eve, baked clams, flounder oregonato, fried shrimp, chicken milanese, and eggplant parm. Everything was awful baked clams were mushy and gross the eggplant was oily and soaked everything we ordered was just terrible. I never write reviews but the money that we spent on this food I had to at least write a review soooo disappointed will never again order anything from zanos! Also I gave 1 star because zero was not an option

Do not get your catering here. Christmas catering is served cold and they will not mention it to you. HOWEVER… fried food will be hot because “it tastes better out of the fryer”. So keep in mind your fried food will be hot. Your other food will be ice ice cold. Also Tony will tell you it’s your fault. No mistakes were made… you were told. Ruined our family dinner. Such a shame. To not even take accountability for your lack of communication is very poor. He did not want me to finish what I was saying because he already knew what he was going to say. I understand this time of year is busy. But this was poor service followed by worse service. Good luck to anyone else who wasn’t notified.
