Changing my 5-star review to 1-star after getting violently ill from this place yesterday (9/27/25). Was going weekly. Atmosphere nice, food mostly good, lattes great. I ordered a latte with oat milk because dairy makes me very ill. The waitress entered oat milk according to my receipt, but after I left I felt the effects of having whole milk so whoever made it obviously made a mistake and out the wrong milk. You can’t taste the difference in the Salty Captain Latte. 24 hours later I’m just starting to feel back to normal. This place destroyed one of my only days off. So I’ll always associate this place with making me ill from its incompetence. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it. If you need a certain milk, you need to police the barista and watch them pour it unfortunately. Before this, I didn’t mind over-paying for everything mostly because I loved the lattes that I now associate with violent illness.

Absolutely love this place! Food is great and they have an awesome creative coffee menu! Dirty Yoohoo and Log Cabin are my favorites.

I love Almost Home, but their pricing has gone crazy. I know everyone is struggling right now with costs, but almost $20 for YOGHURT?! Avocado toast?! Over $9 for a side of bacon? This is really insane. I tried bringing this up on IG, but never got a response. If this is some kind of glitch, I’ll happily change this review… but if they are purposely taking this much money from people for breakfast food, that’s just insulting… especially since they do very well as a business and can afford to keep opening new locations in expensive areas. Rather than focusing on squeezing more money out of people, it would be nice to see them caring for their customer experience first.

The food is just let’s say meh. Shakshuka came out as just poached (!!!) eggs with a pasta sauce. Ambiance is cute.

Really nice new place. Service is about average. I'm not actually complaining about the service, it was adequate. But for the prices charged it should be a notch or two higher. Waitress was a bit slow plus we had to ask more than once for things that should be brought automatically like butter (for toast) and milk (for tea).

This place is great! It’s like getting home and immediately getting smacked in the face and yelled at. Waited 40min for takeout burnt coffee and decent food. All the regulars that ordered after us got their orders before us. Also definitely don’t try and sit down while you wait for your takeout order, the older blonde woman will not be happy that you’re sitting in her prized dine-in only seating, and she will make sure to let you know. Overpriced, unfriendly, but hey at least it’s cute! If you’re not a local, you’ll be treated that way.

Food and coffee were okay. Granted, I only tried a few items so I can’t speak for everything and quite frankly am still interested enough to possibly go back because the menu seemed unique. I’d say the atmosphere was the best thing about it. Very cute spaces. No one to greet you at the door so it was very awkward not knowing if I could seat myself or who I could ask if there was space for one on a Saturday brunch. Finally saw someone with the sneakily simple (small letters) shirt with the Almost Home logo on it and they said I could sit anywhere. Sat for a long time, nearly 10 minutes trying to flag down or make eye contact with any wait staff member and felt ignored and forgotten (the place was not full or busy and actually had half of the tables empty, but there may have only been two wait staff). The food and coffee (the Turkish eggs, Baklava Latte, and Dubai Cold Brew) were probably less than meh for taste, but looked fancy (which didn’t make up for the blandness). Again, I only tried a few items so I can’t speak for everything and may possibly be interested in going back because the menu seemed unique. Also, the message and drawing on the to go cup was priceless and was a very nice touch 😊

Had the breakfast wrap this morning and it honestly blew me away. Everything about it hit, fresh ingredients, perfect balance of flavor, and that satisfying, warm comfort you want first thing in the morning.

One of the best breakfast wraps I’ve had in a long time. You can tell they put care into what they’re serving. Fast, friendly service and good vibes all around. Definitely earned a spot in my regular rotation.

Highly recommend if you’re looking for a real breakfast upgrade.
