Do not stop here if you're at the airport. The food had NO flavor and I asked for hot sauce and they gave me Tabasco sauce, disgusting!!!!!

I was really looking forward to ordering from this place the other day the line was out the door. I’d waited for over 15 minutes just to get ahead when I got up. There was one person in front of me. She was ordering and while I was looking around, the workers were very busy, just chitchatting, socializing with friends and each other more than doing work and taking care of customers. I look behind me and there must’ve been at least 10 people with the line at the door, the workers were unfazed by the line and customers as their priority. This had made me really upset since I was really looking forward to ordering here and was starving and seeing the lack of concern for the customers turned me off, and I just left. Unacceptable! Do your work and socialize later!

The tacos are excellent. I went two days in a row. The fish tacos are amazing. Rice beans sweet plantains are really good. The brisket is really good as well. To me everything was good wish I would have ate here sooner.

Amazing food. Great customer service! I come here near daily for lunch at work and my order is always consistent and delicious. Very clean restaurant. The people who work here are so kind and go the extra mile to greet me by name. 5/5!

Not to say every time I visit Carlitos everyone is so welcoming and sweet their fish tacos are the star of the menu. I’m a very picky eater and yesterday I happen to request something special and that’s never been requested. I ordered fish with everything that goes on top of the taco except the tortilla with their spicy mayo sauce on the side it’s something different that’s not in the menu (not my first time doing special request that aren’t in the menu). So anytime you need to make any adjustments or special request let them know. Thank you to everyone at Carlitos for always making my experience with them so great and special!!

UPDATE March 2025- great stays great! These are still the best tacos in NJ. The birria and fish are a must.

Despite what you might think about buying tacos at the mall these are absolutely the best tacos you'll buy no matter where they are. There is nothing better than the quesa-taco from Carlitos be it the recently added fish, the pulled pork, the brisket, the veggie with the fried plantain, you name it it's all perfect. So if you're a local head over, if you're driving through make a stop for Carlitos..

Asked to go to bathroom , it had a whole trolly of garbage filled to the BRIM! Disgusting!!!. Not food safe at ALL!!! Tacos were so cold too. And the music they played was so obscene. Definitely not worth the $ . The state board needs to revoke their license

I hate when people don’t get food orders right. I’m trying really hard not to eat out and make better food choices so when I give myself a cheat meal, I want it made correctly. This rant is because my taco didn’t come with cheese 😂

The music upon ordering is very loud so the girl did not hear me say that I wanted the quesataco and just served me the one without cheese. I feel like the cheese makes such a difference. Overall I enjoy the food from Carlitos, the freshness of the tomato and pickled onions is a nice break from the taco itself.

Unfortunately the service is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get limes, and jalapeños, sometimes I do not. The pictures posted shows additional vegetables that I did not receive today and I feel like this happens often. Today I did not receive limes, jalapeños, or the cheese that I had ordered so I’m a bit dissatisfied with my taco fix.

I’m on a fairly strict diet so when I do decide to have a cheat meal, I would hope it to not disappoint but today it did.
