Coffee Double Bacon Parmesan Hash
This breakfast & brunch chain restaurant recently opened within the complex of the Bergen Town Center mall. It is not located inside the mall, but in the lower level parking lot next to Home Goods.
I knew this location was going to be on the money because there was an hour wait when my girlfriend and I checked in.
To entertain yourself while you wait, window in the surrounding stores until you receive a text message alerting you that your table is ready.
When we were seated, I was impressed already. The chairs are comfortable and they automatically provided all three utensils; most places only provide a fork and knife and I always have to request a spoon.
These are a couple of the menu items I explored:
Coffee: I usually never order coffee whenever I dine out because I am not a fan of milk or half & half. First Watch provides vanilla and hazelnut coffee creamers.
As a bonus, the coffee is served in a refillable carafe ( similar to IHOP); if it is empty, the server will gladly refill it.
Double Bacon Parmesan Hash: This was a unique, but phenomenal breakfast plate. I knew this signature item was going to be a winner when I saw the sidewalk billboard poster.
It was topped with a vegetable medley, over easy eggs, bacon and smothered in Alfredo sauce. The plate was very filling and I didn’t feel bloated afterwards.
If you decide to dine here, I highly recommend arriving in the morning or early afternoon because they close every day at 2:30 PM.
Food was brought out wrong three times hair was found in one part of the food And I feel the hair was removed and the same food was brought back out Another dish was made wrong and was sent back, and I watched the waitress through the kitchen. Remove parts of the food herself with her bare hands and no gloves notify general manager will never return to this location again. Unsafe, food handling, and practices
This place falls short of quality food, service and professionalism. I have eaten here at this restaurant as well as ordering takeout via UberEats. I ordered a plain pancake stack that has already been delayed for over 1.5 hours. Ridiculous if you ask me. I only order the plain pancakes; as they seem to be the only food source sold here that is actually made from scratch and not pulled from a frozen pack. I'm currently waiting on my order now as this review is live. I will report back shortly with the outcome (quite sure my order will arrive ice cold; smh).
So the manager; Bill suggests that there's always an issue with my order. Hard to deny the facts when it's absolutely true. I wholeheartedly understand that when any restaurant is busy, there is room for error. However; in my case, I guess I have the worst of luck with First Watch. Supposedly as Bill mentioned over the phone; everyone there knows who I am (by Uber handle). I guess that makes me an outlaw due to their mistakes in order. I will not order from here again; I'm quite sure someone will taint my order moving forward if I do. Farewell to this place; I guess I'll stick with the better choice... Maywood Pancake House. No delivery though, but always on cue! Avoid this First Watch thing; it's really not worth the headache.

I understand that restaurant places are kinda tough to manage as a server, especially during the holiday times. However, it took our server 10 mins to come to us after being seated and another 10 mins to bring water and take orders. Besides that, no problems with our waiter, they were nice.
Our main problems were with the food. My gf ordered the BLTE, which is supposed to be a BLT Eggs Benedict combo or something. We weren’t expecting 5 star fancy food, but what we got looks like some EZ bake fifth grade culinary arts food. It was literally just bread, egg, some hollandaise, tomato and greens that look like they were tossed on the plate last sec. For $18 bucks, I rather get bagels or something. Last but not least, it was also cold. Which was also a problem that nearby tables were having, as I overheard them complain to their waiters. Please do better.

So excited to have a first watch in Paramus New Jersey! The first time I ever had, it was in Florida, and I thought I would have to wait to go back there. The Food and Service were both amazing!

Power wrap is a must , very filling ( can request it non egg whites) The breakfast carne asada was so good ( get it while it last. they plan to remove it from the menu 😡) big mistake it should remain on the menu

Our server Robyn was outstanding! It was extremely busy and she still gave us the most outstanding service we have had at any First Watch location (we go to many!) She was super attentive and extremely pleasant even when it was busy (line and wait time) she assured us our order would be handled properly (gluten free) everything was amazing! Thank you to her and the team at Paramus we will be back!!
