One thing about John’s fried chicken everyday the prices are different. The large soup with a medium “small” rice and a can soda was 21 dollars… and I kid you not only two small pieces of chicken in the large soup
Please take notes on how everyday the prices change… makes no sense
If you to Three Monkeys at 400 Union ave in Paterson
They have the same exact lunch and better flavor!!! For the price of 12 dollars !!!
I’m still baffled that I paid 21 dollars for a soup that doesn’t taste that great….
Wow, what I would give to leave a 0 star review. I needed to place a fairly large order (3 dozen empanadas) so I made sure to call the day before out of respect for the business. Tried 3 times but nobody picked up. Fortunately, I was able to order online via Menufy with a pickup time set for the next day. Minutes after I place the order, I get a call from the restaurant asking when I wanted to pick up that same day. That’s forgivable, especially since restaurants I’m sure are juggling online orders alongside in-store patrons. The next day, I call twice to confirm the pick up time - once in the morning and again 2 hours before pickup. When I arrive at 2:45pm (time I specified online and over the phone) I’m told I need to wait 5 minutes. The staff then proceed to start my order then and there. In a rush, I ask why the order wasn’t prepared in advance to which the employee responds, “what’s your problem?” He and the other employee then turn up their music, presumably their way of telling me to stop asking questions and keep glaring and rolling their eyes at me. In the end, I spend 25 minutes waiting for the food and don’t receive so much as an apology. I’m not asking for much, just a little decency and empathy when customers place orders in advance. We’re all busy with our own lives, but it doesn’t take much effort to respect others’ time, which is what I thought I was doing by ordering in advance. I’m no expert in operating a business, but I know this isn’t it.

Chicken thigh was smaller than the 2 legs, all cold! Empinada cold bland. Yellow rice and pigeon peas, bland, hard, cold! Food looked great but wasn't. Will not give a 2nd chance

I'm hoping because it was on a Sunday and it was the Paramus location i had a bad experience but will give it another chance. The staff on-site could not speak English so another Spanish speaking customer had to assist in ordering food. Thank you to the lady. I got a whole chicken which I would not have orderd if she could understand me because it was not fresh and very disappointing because you could taste 2 hours prior it would of been good. I also ordered oxtails which everything (all the food) didn't seem fresh, the only thing that allowed me to rate 3 stars was the yellow rice. I heard alot of good things about the Union City location which I will try but opening a store in Paramus when customers can go to Paterson and get any kind of Spanish food you can think of you should be more on point even on Sunday. I also wanted their famous fried chicken but it looked like it was fried on Saturday and just was sitting. No Bueno.

Food was not that tasty. They only entertain Spanish speaking customers as they barely speak English themselves. It’s over priced. I tried them few times but I am done now, each time the same result.

customer service and food was amazing. from the second I walked in the hospitality was super friendly and welcoming. Then I was in shock because there were so many different options for food I could not make a decision on what to get. I ended up getting the baked chicken with yellow rice and Maduro and trust me when I say I loved it, I really did.
5 STARS, WILL RECOMEND THE PLACE.

If you're looking for subpar Dominican food this is your spot! Bad service, greasy food, and overpriced! They don't care about helping you out just pick and go. They don't tell you the price till the end.
