I had a really frustrating experience at Kiku Hibachi. The customer service was terrible — staff were rude and completely unhelpful. What made it worse is that they refused to serve us at 8:30 PM, even though their posted closing time is 10 PM. That’s misleading and unacceptable. I’ve eaten here before, and honestly, the food isn’t worth the hassle anyway. It’s low quality and disappointing for the price. Between the poor service and subpar food, I definitely won’t be coming back.

If you’re celebrating any special occasion and want a fun vibe - this isn’t the place!! We had a double birthday celebration yesterday and were a party of 12! I had made reservations weeks ago. They did NOTHING to make it fun for my teens! The chef, Benny was the most boring and uninterested guy! We even kept telling him “it’s our kids birthday! Where is the sake?!” And he would just smile and keep cooking! Threw a few zucchini pieces at all of us and that was it!!! HORRIBLE! Oh and on top of that, they charge $10 for cake serving (which I did myself) and $1 for hot sauce!! $750 dinner and NOT worth it! You’re better off going to Cho-Cho San in Nanuet! We did my son’s birthday with his friends there two weeks ago and it was Unbelievable!! They sang, they had fire, they put a dragon hat on him, they made him hold fire sticks, they did sake/water squirts, and had a drum when cake came! Kiku in Paramus sucks!! Never again!!!!

We visited kiku for double birthday celebrations. We all order the hibachi I had the seafood Evan or shrimp Nolan also ordered seafood and everyone else I don't even know.Great dinner very entertaining hibachi cook and ice cream for the boys at the end. Thank you for a very pleasant birthday celebration!!!

I have been wanting to visit KiKu for some time now and last night we went there for dinner. I am disappointed in the experience. The staff: not very accommodating and customer service is not priority, instead they act like there doing you a favor. All of the hostess in the front start the tone of arrogance and create a non welcoming tone. The atmosphere: very open set up and dimmed lighting but we were there for dinner so it was a dinner setting, understood. The food: OMG, not good at all. Now usually with these type of meals there to salty or flavored just right. This was the opposite, the soup was watered down to the ground. The salad was meh, the cooked vegetables were lukewarm warm right from the grill? Not sure how that happened and they taste like soap or something, it was a very strange taste. Basically the vegetable didn’t taste like themselves. The proteins were also flavorless, so strange. We also had rolls for appetizers, the spicy tuna roll was ok but my daughter friend did not like her California roll at all. It just wasn’t a good food experience, I’ve eaten at many Habachi restaurants, this was the most flavorless one in life. The chef: is the reason for the 2 stars. His part of the experience was technically 5 star. He was funny, engaging, he talked to us and of course he did a lot of the tricks and fun stuff that some chefs do at Habachi restaurants. He was the best part of the experience. Overall, I personally would not return.

This is the second year in a row. My family and I went here for dinner. The food was absolutely amazing, our chef was fantastic and super fun, and the portions were huge. Will definitely be back again! Thank you for another great birthday :)

We had reservations for 7:30 for a Saturday night. We waited an hour to be seated still, at 8:30. Don’t think we ate until 9:30 because service was slow. Cook was awesome and so was the food. There was an automatic gratuity for parties 6+ which is fine, but the server wrote the tip in with pen on our receipt which is incredibly suspicious.

This is a tradition to go here on Christmas Eve with friends; we were met with water flowing from the ceiling over the bar, buckets spread around catching water. Health and fire hazard didn't stop us from being seated. Cook wasn't as good as some others we watched and the food was subpar. Lobster and steak both over cooked, others in my group complained about the same thing. I think we need to find a new Christmas Eve location.

Was excited to come eat here with friends this evening and as soon as I opened my dinner napkin I was met with a roach. My friends and I called over the server who appeared unphased and called over the manager. The manager barely acknowledged me when she walked over and had our entire hibachi table move. The server apologized and told me it was the first time several times but by her tone and joking demeanor it appeared that she didn’t actually care and just wanted to know what was going. Upon leaving my friend addressed the manager upon my behalf who began arguing with her. The food isn’t even that good you’re better off going to Benihanas
