Mangiamo is one of the best pizza places you can go to. The food was amazing and the staff were all super nice as well. I will definitely be back again thanks for the great food.

Nice NJ Rte 17 Red Gravy neighborhood eatery, albeit located in a busy place - Rte 17 South, in Paramus.

Great folks, especially waitress Rose... a great gal for a lazy afternoon conversation.

Pizza was quite good - had a white chicken parm slice. My hope is that the reason the bone (what my kids called the crust rim when they were little) was quite hard. .. tasty, but hard... was that it was late afternoon and the pie had been in the warming area too long.

I'd stopped in - first time - based on a friend's recommendation. I'd had a midday itch for lasagne that simply had to be scatched.

Well ... I'll return to Magiamos... But not for lasagne. Flat, not stacked... Almost so much so as to be considered "deconstructed" in modern TV chef/talking head parlance. Heck, might have had more cheese that pasta. And who wants flat lasagne... the stack of ingredients is half the thrill.

And the gravy... Tomatoey, but an odd combination of bitter, sweet, and tart. It was either the chef's fault or that of the produce... But if the chef planned it as presented, I'll stay with other than red gravy choices.

But... Try it on your own. You might feel differently. Garlic knots were nice and their dipping gravy did not taste the same as what covered the lasagne.

I do a ton of catering through work and Mangiamo is always able to put together a great spread while staying within budget and delivering on time every time. Sameh is incredibly helpful with putting orders together on short notice if needed, and the food is always great. If you’re looking for a caterer, I highly reccomend Mangiamo, they’re fantastic!

Forgettable.
I was in the area for work, and wanted to grab something quick and easy. Ordered the escarole soup and mozzarella sticks. Escarole was brown, broth too salty, and beans were starting to disintegrate. This soup was clearly not fresh. In fact it was slightly slime at the bottom of the container. Mozzarella sticks were the bagged frozen variety. $20 for those 2 things was insulting. Over $11 for mozzarella sticks. I assumed they were homemade for the price and was excited to try them. $8 for last weeks soup.
So disappointing.
The one positive was the staff. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The gentleman behind the counter was very polite and courteous.

First time dining in even though I used to live in the area for my entire life. Such a lovely place. You get italian food for the food, not the experience. And this place just gets it right. The owner (or so I assumed) was very friendly and gave us complimentary pita bread. The fact he gave us pita and not rolls made me question if this was an 'american italian' place or they were from northern Italy. So I asked the owner where he was from, he responded of course he was from very southern Italy, from the southern island. I loved the chicken parm and my girlfriend got a stromboli. It was all fantastic italian food. Just made us want to come back for more.
