On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina

The food was surprisingly very yummy! The place inside deff can use an update but hey I was so I happy the food was good because that’s what I would prefer! Parking right out front, no wait time to sit. The server was very polite food came fast 💨 and best part price was amazing.

The bartender, Sam (Samantha) is the best bartender. Courteous, friendly and a hard working.

You don’t appreciate something until it’s gone. After several closures of OTB around the US, it’s nice to still have one left that is somewhat nearby. Since this one is right outside the Garden State Plaza mall, it’s best to come on a Sunday when all the stores are closed. Food is still as good as I remember and you can’t beat their chips and salsa. The place looks a little dated inside, but don’t let that hold you back from visiting. Pleasant experience and friendly staff too.

The service is nonexistent and the food is atrocious. This place used to be good but they have w ed not downhill. Look at the size of the enchiladas it’s embarrassing.

I placed an order to go through their site. It confirmed pick up at 5:27. I went in to pick it up at 5:27 and was told to “stand at the bar”. After 10 minutes of standing there someone asked if I needed anything. I repeated the pickup order at which point they took the ticket to the back and began to cook it then. I do not recommend ordering to go from this establishment because they didn’t even notice the order. I had my food 20 minutes later

The margaritas were great.

This place has gone downhill, used to be good 10 years ago. Now the staff looks like they don’t want to be there and provides horrible service. The food is below par and the place looks dated not worth your time or money.

Honestly amazing fresh food. Loved the mango margarita. I will definitely be coming back. The beef burrito was one the best burritos I ever had.

Our hostess was our server, seemed a little short staffed, but food came out quick, consistent OTB quality, delicious Guac. Live. Brought the 1.5 year old and he was shoveling guac with a fork, nerdless to say, he's quite the fan. We prefer OTB to Asadero.

This place is awfully slow, the fix is easy hire people. The nasty attitude current people need to go that's why people leave and don't come back.

They now charge a fee if you want to pay your bill via the QR code on the receipt. Are you serious? The food is ok, the service is great but you really think it's a good idea to charge your customers a fee to use a service which makes your employees life easier?? Get real On the Border.

Theresa is the best. Every time I order lunch to go, it's s always ready and exactly how I order it. She is always friendly and attentive to details. She should be a manager or at least give her a raise. She is a keeper.

Next visit I tried to call in my order. 3 times it rang until I got hung-up on. Drove here and there were 2 tables and nobody at the bar and I have no clue as to why they couldn't answer the phone.

Haven't been to an On the Border in years. Surprisingly pretty good. Birria tacos and brisket quesadilla were delicious.

Always have a good time at this place! The food is terrific and the drinks are top notch. It's one of our go to places!
