They keep taking reviews down because they don't want people to know what's really going on. Where and who I work for I know everyone in town and we all talk about how bad it is. That's why their business is so bad. I'm about to get into a long-winded review, but I feel it's VERY necessary that I do and I'm about to explain why. I have been a customer for a very long time. About three months ago I had an important gathering for the judge and mayor in town. I wanted to order six trays of bagels and pastry boxes with boxes of coffee with Joe to go with it. This event was very important to me. On the day I called to place this order a young man answered the phone. I believe he's not only a worker, but a family member to the new owners. When I placed the order he was clueless on what came in the pastry boxes or how many bagels I supposed to get and when I asked for a price I got hung up on. He didn't even ask me for my phone number or for my name. He only got the date that I needed them for. I had to literally call back and give him my name and number and I told him my husband would be there Thursday to pay in advance for the Saturday pick up. Now mind you I'm already feeling uneasy about this situation but it only gets worse. Thursday rolls around and my husband goes inside to pay for the order and while doing so that same gentleman was there and was giving him bad vibes. The way he spoke to my husband was very unprofessional not to mention the place smelt of MJ ( pot ). My husband wound up not paying for the order because he felt uncomfortable about the whole situation but did pick up a couple of sandwiches. The sandwiches were made wrong and weren't even edible. After speaking with my husband about this whole scenario, we called and spoke to the owner the following day. I bought every single thing up to her. Not once did she apologize or even offer me discount. What she did instead was make excuses up for 10 mins on the phone. She was putting the blame on me and when I mentioned how the store smelt of Pot she had nothing to say. Now, a day later, I'm at the dollar tree store and I run into Anna who works there. I told her exactly what happened and she was more apologetic than the owner was and felt embarrassed. Knowing that I knew her and her family I decided to go back in and give it another chance. At least she seemed sincere. On Sat my family and I walked in once again to order breakfast. As doing so I realized how understaff they were but yet I still had to wait 20 minutes for 5 sandwiches. No one knew what was going on. The young Indian gentleman once again was working with no gloves on which Ive complained about in my 10 min phone call from before but then you had the owner slow as molasses on the register and I'm assuming her husband who was trying to take orders but halfway through would hand them off to somebody else because he didn't know what the hell he was doing either. It was a total disaster. I do not like writing reviews, but after this whole experience I felt it was necessary to share it with the the public as with the owners. Not that they care anyways and I know that from experience, but I will tell you one thing. I will never walk into that place again. I don't know what happened to that place and where all the good employees went too, but I do wish them all well and I completely understand why they're all gone. I do not recommend this place by any means. I hope my review sheds some light on this sh!t-hole. Horrible customer service, bad food, no staff, unprofessional, over priced, dirty, and the list goes on and on. Hello deli plus, Gems Amboy bagels, amazing bagels, the local diner, anywhere and everywhere else other than there.

The place is disgusting and the people who work there are dirty. The food sucks!!! The turkey sandwich was absolutely horrible. The turkey was bad. The bagels over priced and hard. No one is English speaking.

I ordered the pancake platter. Usually, I have no problems with it. But today I did and I do have a BIG problem. Usually, I have a good rapport with staff, especially since they got rid of some unprofessional people.But today put a bad taste in my mouth about Bagel One. My pancakes were raw and doughy. When I called Bagel One, not once, not twice, but seven times I got no answer. Mind you, when I called initially, the lady answered the phone and when she heard what I had to say, she told me to please hold and never came back to the phone. Not even for the six other times I called to make them aware. Initially, I was not going to post this complaint but since they chose not to answer the phone. all 7 times that I called, I decided to post this complaint. Bagel one is no more fun. Excellent experience. Two thumbs up. Very good quality of the food. Very good prices. Friendly crew. They have excellent quality fresh bagels and they prepared my sandwiches as per my modified requirement. You get good bank for your buck. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for hot and healthy breakfast.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicapped parking with ramp in front of the store.

Just got back in town after being away awhile for work . I've been coming to this bagel store for years. When I walked in the other day I had to make sure I was in the right place. The best way I could describe it was uncomfortable & awkward. About 6 people were inside, no line or order to anything, i did not know where to go to order my food. No one greeted me and the woman behind the counter might be the most unapporoachable person ive encountered. (I later found out that was the new owner). When I got the young man's attention to order my food (think he's their son) he treated me like I was bothering him. And he had no gloves on. When I got home and ate my sandwich the bagel was stale and there was barely anything on it. The prices went up, quality went down, and atmosphere turned agonizing.I didn't see the cute girl at the register either. Not sure if she left or what but seeing her was half the reason I'd go here.

If I could give it a zero I would I got a bagel today, I think it’s three days old. They mixed up our orders and the bagel is pure white. I don’t even think it’s been baked Definitely will not go back

I was a loyal customer for many yrs. Idk what’s going on or what happened to the place but it’s gone downhill in every way and just keeps getting worse & worse. On 11/14/23 Tues morning I placed an order for 5 breakfast sandwiches & not one of them were done correctly. I thought maybe they didn’t understand me since no one in that place seemed to speak English. I knew Anne would be working on Friday so I went back. To my surprise she wasn’t there so I had to deal with these incompetent people again. I placed my order & not only did they mess it up AGAIN but they charged me a whole different price when I ordered the same exact thing. It’s not the 1st time either. The owner charged me one price & then the kid charged me another which was a 4 dollar difference. People all over have been talking about their prices as well. Not even 3 months ago a breakfast sandwich was $5.50, a buttered bagel was 2.00, & cream cheese was 3.00. Thats the normal rate everywhere but these new owners thought it was a good idea to raise the prices. I get raising prices but they raised everything over $1.00 to 2.00 more which is insane! Breakfast sandwich is now $7 to 7.50, buttered 3.50, cream cheese is a whopping 4.50-5.00!!!!!!!!! Don’t ask for an extra egg or piece of cheese because that’s $1.10 extra. They charge .50 just for butter.That’s insane especially for what you are getting. If the service & quality of the food were better then maybe people wouldn’t be complaining as much. I don’t see this place staying afloat. You have non speaking English people who never worked or owned a food service before & have absolutely no idea how to run one. They’re just trying to make a quick buck. The new staff sucks, Service is slow, the owner is disrespectful, & the bagels are small & hard. I’m never going back. You should run the other direction too.

Ordered a sausage, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. I got a plain bagel that was super hard. I took two bites of one half of my sandwich and there was barely any sausage or egg left. I could hardly tell if there was any cheese on the sandwich. The lady at the register was extremely rude. I won’t be ordering from there anymore.

I used to love going there but whoever took over really let the place go. The owner is rude as hell and has no idea what’s happening and their son who makes the sandwiches is dirty looking. He doesn’t even wear gloves. Yuck ? The only positive thing I can honestly say about the place is that both the cook & the pretty blonde cashier who’ve been there for yrs seem as tho they’re the only ones who know what’s going on and cares. I make it a point to go early in the mornings on the days she’s working so I don’t have to deal with these other idiots.
