Don & Bert's Custard Stand

Legendary cheese fries, awesome breakfast sandwiches and burgers and of course amazing ice cream! The recent upgrades make it clean and bright!

Had a steak, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a Kaiser roll. It was good, though costly.

Amazing as always. Every time it reminds me of growing up and my parents of grandparents taking me. Food is fantastic.

Wanted to go here before a wrestling show. Pulled up to wait for my friend at 8pm and was promptly yelled at by a cook asking why I was waiting.

When my friend arrived, the same man came out and yelled they had been closing at 8 since october.
I understand Google hours are hard to correct but the employee could be more understanding of people who want to patronize but are misinformed.

Prices are crazy high. I got a chili cheese dog $6.52. Mediocre at best. Chilli straight up out of a can with bad cheese
Took 2 bites and tossed it. I thought it would be a steamed bun or something special. Custard not bad but super expensive as well. When they have a sign in the place telling you how high prices are because the world is messed up RUN!! Im not kidding they have a sign in there trying to justify the high prices saying its high quality. 2 hot dogs and a small custard cone over $17 bucks WOW!!! Definately not worth it.

Cheese fries are made with cheese whiz so I wasn’t a fan. The cheese burger was the size of my palm which shocked me because of the price. I told my husband that I was bringing him a cheese burger for lunch but had to say never mind because of how small it was. He would have laughed all the way home? For both cheese fries and tiny cheese burger it was $15 plus. I won’t be visiting again based off the price and portions. They also only take cash but they have a convenient ATM located on site that charges over $2 to use.

This was the first time back to Don & Bert's in 27 years and it hasn't really changed much. It was so good back then and still is. I grew up going on a Friday night for some cheese fries and a pb shake. Still as good as I remember. I hope this place is around forever. Paulsboro's little gem!!!!
