We had a wonderful dinner last night! Service and food were both amazing. Loved all of the complimentary additions: fresh pecorino cheese from the wheel, zucchini, limoncello! Had delicious pasta and chicken dishes for dinner, and a tiramisu dessert to go. Would love to come back!
The mood kind of gets ruined when you're asked “Do you want to talk or order?” Also rather rudely and loudly asked “Did you hear we have cold seafood salad over your talking?” Yes we heard but first we wanted to enjoy or wine with friends we haven't seen in 2 yrs. Dinner could wait a bit. Considering there are two other very good restaurants the same road, I'd be a little more courteous.
Il Monello is our family's favorite Italian restaurant and tonight's birthday dinner did not disappoint. Martino, the owner, makes every occasion seem special with his attention, humor and recommendations. A sampling of spedini, calamari, burratta and meatballs were wonderful appetizers, and we all enjoyed the range of terrific pasta dishes. The ravioli (burratta and porcini versions) and fettuccini were huge portions. The gnocchi is always amazing and tonight my wife...
