Ambience and decor were refreshing. Nice menu selections and ‘desi’ themed cocktails. Food presentation was very nicely done and the food itself was tasty. We ordered the Babu’s Egg and Kathi Tacos. I expected Babu’s Egg to resemble a ‘masala’ French toast based on the description (‘Indian bread soaked in spiced egg batter’) but it ended up being a boiled egg sandwich, which was a tad disappointing. Kathi Tacos were excellent and we brought back one of the two tacos home. However, the service left a lot to be desired especially given the quality of service we always get at their sister restaurant ’Osteria Procaccini’. The waiters didn’t know much about the menu and weren’t even close to the right pronunciation of the dishes. In fact they had to check with me half a dozen times which of the 2 beers I ordered. Finally they ended up not having the only canned IPA on menu! Don’t think we will try this restaurant again with our favorite restaurant next door!

Stopped by with my parents after a trip to the beach. We got a pizza and Makhni-Mosa bowl, which had great flavor with the perfect spice. The people were very friendly and met the owner, who you could tell really cares about the place. Will definitely be back to get ice cream

Unfortunately my experience here was disappointing. The atmosphere looked promising and service was excellent but the food was definitely lacking that Indian flavor kick.

I had high expectations, but overall the quality and service didn’t match the price. We ordered the pizza which cost $30 but it was just covered with jalapenos even though we specifically mentioned less spicy . Our server was apologetic about it and said that she had told the kitchen to make it less spicy . We picked out each jalepeno discarded it . The egg sandwich lacked flavor and I could only taste Garam masala . The noodles were just plain maggi noodles with sev and onions . The drinks weren’t that great either . We just chugged on more water coz of the spice .For a bill of $100 I expected way better quality .

The location has potential if only the food tasted better or they got a new chef .

I had lunch at Nimbu over the weekend and loved it! The food was delicious, and the ambience and décor made the experience even better. The service was excellent- Aiden and Kamran were great: attentive, friendly, and personable. I would definitely recommend Nimbu to anyone looking for a great meal and welcoming atmosphere!

We were excited to check this place out and made a reservation—at the time, we were the only ones there. The staff was friendly, which we appreciated. However, for a Saturday night, we were surprised that the place wasn’t busier.

A few things might explain the low turnout. The food was just okay—most dishes lacked the bold, layered flavors we typically associate with Indian cuisine. Everything tasted a bit muted, and if you’re used to a more traditional Indian spice profile, this might feel like a step down.

The biggest disappointment was the pizza, which cost $25 but didn’t deliver. The cheese and vegetables slid off completely, making it hard to eat.

Service-wise, we found the staff more focused on chatting among themselves than attending to guests. Water refills were missed, and we had to flag someone down. One senior staff member seemed to be doing most of the work, while the others were mostly talking and laughing loudly.

Given the high prices, average food, inattentive service, and the automatic 18% gratuity, we left feeling underwhelmed. There’s definitely room for improvement.

Food did not be cooked ready for order but just needed easy toppings. Chicken sandwich 1/2 had cold chicken with sour spicy added and other side had cucumber and tomato - so so but pricy for the product provided. No fresh food. Yes pizza was ok but pricey. 18% gratuity is included on the receipt however nothing fresh was cooked on order. $101 total was high for the type of food. Street type food does not require 18% mandatory gratuity. Anyway good to try.

Really nice place. Great decor, excellent servers and pretty good food. Tried the vada pau, chicken club sandwich, papri chaat and noodle bowl. All were pretty tasty, especially the vada pau and noodles. Definitely worth a trip! Chicken items on the menu are halal so an extra plus.

Wow! I love this restaurant! The service is great, and the food is awesome. I highly recommend the Mumbai pav for people who love crunchy food. For the ones who love chewy food I would recommend take one of the tacos. GO TO THIS RESTAURANT!!!
