4:00pm Sunday 12/22... First time at Union Boil in Pennington. The arrival of an empty restaurant should have alerted me of the obvious: No greeter, no waiters. The host took our order. I have no idea of her name. I was never asked if I wanted anything other than water. I asked if they had a soda and said yes. I wasn't asked if I wanted anything, so I was unsure. Had a great dinner here. Shared crab cakes, shrimp, clam flatbread and dessert. Everything was fresh and nicely flavored. The dessert was the winner- chocolate olive oil cake with chocolate gelato. So good! Service was attentive and every staff member was friendly and genuine. Highly recommend!

The food was definitely above average good and fairly priced. We had the Mexican corn dish appetizer, the gumbo entree and the lil boil entree, overall excellent. Good place.
