Writing to share a 2 star experience I had with Taqueria Atexquita Penns Grove. I hate to be negative about a small local business but this is the 3rd time we have ordered food from there and only received half our order. I know it’s my fault for giving a 3rd chance, but the 2 stars are because the food that arrives hot is delicious. We contacted DoorDash and they were of course no help. We requested they have the restaurant make and send the rest of our order but they said the restaurant refused to do so. Half of our family’s meal was missing tonight so we likely wont be giving a 4th chance and you shouldn’t either.

I ordered for multiple people, our food was put in the same trays together. Also, what taco place doesn't give you salsa for your taco... This isnt the first time they did this...

If you’re looking for good food at a decent price with excellent service, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Just ordered tacos with their “Taco Tuesday” special. I purposely called earlier today to find out what tacos were included in their 3 for $5 deal. After my wife sat on hold for 16 minutes waiting to order, I decided to go to the restaurant to order our food. My wife went to pick the food up and after paying and looking at the receipt, she saw that we were charged $12 for four tacos that were supposed to be included in the 3 for $5 deal. I ordered FOUR pork tacos and TWO chicken tacos which would equal SIX, a derivative of three. My wife was told that the tacos had to be the same for the 3 for $5 which was not explained when I called earlier in the day. When my wife said that this information should’ve been relayed when I called earlier, she was told that the female was busy and wasn’t asked that specific question. Instead of trying to rectify the situation and giving a refund because ya know, customer service is supposed to mean something, they told my wife that they’d have to recook the order because the tacos included in the 3 for $5 only have one tortilla, and the ones we received had two. When my wife asked to speak to a manager after she was spoken to with pure ignorance from the female who works the register, she was told that the manager doesn’t speak English but that she could wait to talk to him when he became available as he knows a little English. The young female who works in the front is incredibly ignorant, disrespectful and needs to take a class on customer service. I will NEVER return to this disgrace of a restaurant, and if I could give zero stars, I would!

The food is very bad, the food is often burnt, I don't know how they can keep that restaurant standing if they make the cakes watery and then they have very bad hygiene.

Ordered on Doordash, they said it was going to take nearly 2 hours so we called and they said that it wouldn't take that long, they just like to give the dashers extra time...ok, fine. We receive the order and HALF of it is missing. Not exaggerating. We call back and they offer to send us the rest of our order if we make another small purchase on doordash! What? Eventually we were told we would be given a refund and a call back. Still waiting.

The tacos I tried were delicious. The service not so much. The young lady seem to give dirty looks an when you tried to give her a compliment she ignores you cause she is too busy on her cellphone. Didn't seem to welcoming of an atmosphere

Ordered chicken enchiladas and got one beef one chicken and 2 cheese. Super dry. Barely no sauce. Seems like it’s been sitting forever before the pick up and my husband picked up the order earlier than the wait time! Would never order from there again. So disappointing. And I got charged $17 for this!!!
Me and my friend were dying for tacos last night. We ordered at 8:40 and they gladly made our order. (Close at 9) The absolute best tacos I’ve had. Fresh and delicious! All the sides were delish!! My new taco place for sure! ? We will be back to try more dishes!!
