Francesca's Bakery

I've had nothing but wonderful experiences with Francesca's. Everyone has enjoyed their crumb buns (the best I've ever had.) Tender sweet yeast bread topped with thick mounds of crunchy, buttery crumbs & dusted w/powdered sugar. And they're huge!! Their blueberry crumb buns are delicious as well; not as much crumb, but just enough to hold up with the blueberries on the buttery yellow cake base. You can taste real browned butter in them, not fake crap w/preservatives like in grocery stores. Their butter cookies are excellent as well. Light and melt in your mouth, made in-store, not purchased from mass-produced Cookie Cupboard and placed in the display case, like so many other bakeries do. Everything is always super fresh too.

I specifically asked if they could make a 10” cheesecake, since they only had 8”. I was told yes and picked up the next day. When I got home found it was 8”. If the could not accommodate the large cake, they should have told me. I certainly won’t trust them again.

They were at a local farmers market in Staten Island and I two different loafs of bread from them. The next day I wake up and they went completely bad. A day seriously. I wouldn’t spend your money at this place.

My wife got me a St. Joseph’s pastry with cannoli filling for my birthday, but it had to be about a week old and tasted awful. The cannoli cream was souring, and the whipped cream on top was solid. The pastry itself was stale. We got some other treats alongside this and none were fresh or tasty. Don’t bother with this place.

This bakery has the best cookies around. I not only eat them at home, but I give them as gifts. Please try this bakery.

We love Francesca’s bakery and have been coming here for years. Mabel is kind, helpful, and attentive and we always feel welcomed! Our kids love getting donuts and chatting with the staff! Great pastries and a warm atmosphere.

I can’t say enough good things about this little gem of a bakery! The owners did a beautiful job of recreating an atmosphere of an old time Paris pastry shop with delicious desserts, breads, empanadas and coffee to die for. The people that work there couldn’t be nicer and the bakery couldn’t be cleaner! Such a great little place to grace Pequannock.
