Golden China Restaurant

I have been ordering from the Golden China restaurant for a few weeks now. Today when we got our order we noticed they tacked on a $2 delivery fee without mentioning it at all to us or putting it on the menu.

I called them and politely asked about it. They told me to hold on and I heard them talking behind my back saying how I was "yelling" at them. Finally the manager answers and gives me all kinds of excuses, saying other restaurants do the same thing and that they were talking about the delivery driver and not me.

Delivery fees are fine. But telling a customer one total and then charging them a different total is fraud. I was just asking to be informed of all the fees before getting charged. They went back to the excuse of "other restaurants do it too". I explained that just because other restaurants committed fraud doesn't mean it's ok for you to. Then I hung up.

As I mentioned I don't mind paying for service. But I want to be informed about what I'm paying for. I don't like being on the receiving end of "a fast one" or getting lied to. Honesty goes a long way. If they're willing to steal $2 then who knows what they're willing to do later on. I'm glad I pay with a one time use credit card number.

Food is great! Just wish they made their fried rice with a lot more meat ,onions and add beansprouts and vegetables to add the much needed flavor.. Nobody makes fried rice the way it’s supposed be anymore..

Great food, i ussually get my food in Wayne so decided to give them a try and it did not dissapoint. Highly recommended.

I order from this restaurant every week. And they provide with fresh delicious food. Love the customer service the young girl at the front taken order is the best. She always has a smile Thank you.

Went there for lunch and ordered a sesame chicken meal and paid about $10, but boy was it worth it! The food was good and the meal came with an egg roll plus pork fried rice and really filled me up. 10/10 would definitely eat here again.

Kid-friendliness: Has Lego decorations that kids might enjoy.

I have been going to Golden China for as long as I can remember and find it to be the best place for Chinese food in the area. It's not just a good Chinese place it is a staple in our town of pequannock and I absolutely love everybody there. Thank you for the great service and food.

Great local Chinese food. Always consistent with their dishes. Lo mein, chicken and broccoli, general Tso chicken, and their soups are all very tasty.

Have always had a good meal from here but the last couple times the food was flavorless and the fried rice tasted a week old. Will be moving on.

The portion is small and the portion ordered is still a big portion. Compared to other places, this is a small portion. I haven’t been given paper and conditioning bags yet.

Consistently good local Chinese takeout. This is the only place my family ever wants to order from.

This place has turned into a dump with mediocre and inconsistent food preparation.
The woman who answers the phone cannot get an order correct. Every order has a mistake, AND SHE IS ARROGANT.
The fried rice is HARD AS A ROCK AND NOT HYDRATED ENOUGH. It's awful.
The worst and deciding factor is that they treat their customers with no respect or customer service. It is an insulting and unforgivable shame.
After decades of patronage, I wouldn't support this hurtful staff or small business with even one more too greasy egg roll order.
They suck and I am DONE.
