Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard

came at 10:54pm on a friday and they literally closed the blinds on me and my friend in our face then turned lights off. They close at 11:00 pm. i understand it’s close to closing time but closing the blinds in our face was appalling considering there was more than 5 minuets till closing and it happened to the guy that was next to us aswell so there were more than 2 customers present.

Always great service. The young ladies are always lovely, and the ice flavors are amazing. I LOVE the Chocolate cover strawberry ice.

During a recent visit on August 29th 2025, my friend collapsed into my arms as we were ordering and clearly needed emergency help. I was frantic, screaming and asking staff repeatedly if they had called 911. Nobody answered me. Another customer behind me said he was calling because staff was not responding to me as I was screaming for help. Eventually I saw a staff member on the phone, but instead of reassuring me, she asked while she was on the phone with 911 “is this a medical emergency?” Unbelievable.

In that moment, it felt like staff froze and failed to communicate. I was left unsure if anyone had actually called for help, which made the situation even scarier and more chaotic.

After the emergency, I returned to the counter to request the ice cream I had already paid for and water for my friend before she went into the ambulance. Staff provided the water but ignored my repeated requests for the ice cream, which added unnecessary frustration after an already stressful situation

Afterward, I emailed management about what happened. They initially replied, but then stopped responding completely. To me, that shows a lack of accountability and concern.

In my opinion, this was a dangerous and unprofessional response to a medical crisis.

I live very close to this establishment and will never be back.

My first visit will not be my last! I was pleasantly surprised at quality of the product. The young counter girl was very polite and efficient.

$1.09 for a teaspoon of sprinkles is outrageous.

I’d give today’s experience 0 stars. Plain rude, rushed and absolutely uninterested in serving, not knowing ice cream is not just a product but an experience and the buying experience is more important than the product.

Just went to this center and was met with a very rude response from the server. These are young kids trying to get an experience in a job but if a job involves serving and if you do not have it in you, please don’t join such jobs and make your customer’s time miserable and bring a bad name to the company and its product.

I love Rita’s! I got the coconut, chocolate fudge and s’mores. All together in a large cup and it was so good! Can’t wait to go back and the customers service was amazing!

All the workers are so sweet and the portions are amazing! Amazing prices 3 items for 20 dollars, 2 gelato ices and a misto shake it’s amazing!!!

Ridiculous overpriced small Sunday and a concrete 16.00 i go to Dairy Queen I can get a large Sunday and large BLIZZARD FOR 13.00 blizzard being the equivalent to a concrete. Rita’s is a joke when it comes to prices

Took over 10 minutes to receive my order which was completely wrong. Employee wasn’t to nice to the older gentleman that was next to be only cause he had trouble understanding him. Generation Z is clueless when it comes to customer service.

They are always out of so many flavors of Italain Ice when I go there. They are pricey for what you get. It's almost 5$ for a small ice.
